Just met an amazing man in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield. Tony Foulds was an 8-yr-old playing in the park when a US plane crashed in Feb 1944. He has diligently maintained the memorial ever since. He was planting new flowers. Almost 75 yrs of service. What a man. I’m in bits 😢👏🏻

Last Thu I visited Cyprus to witness the landing of the final Tornado sortie flown from Akrotiri in sp of Op SHADER’s counter-Daesh campaign. 3300+ missions and 28k+ flying hrs over 4.5 yrs. A phenomenal achievement by phenomenal people. Well done to the whole team.

RAF can confirm that QRA Typhoon fighter aircraft fm RAF Lossiemouth scrambled to monitor and intercept 2 x Russian Blackjack long range bombers while they were in the UK area of interest. At no point did the Russian aircraft enter UK territorial airspace

If not flown safely and within the rules, drones can be extremely dangerous to all other aviation. This video shows the impact to a wingtip - imagine if it had hit the cockpit, or an engine. For all the drone enthusiasts out there - please fly your aircraft safely and sensibly.

@17SqnRAF has just launched 3 x F35Bs from Edwards Air Force Base en route to MCAS Beaufort - the start of our journey to embark UK F35Bs on @HMSQNLZ for the first time. Later this week @OC617Sqn will also launch jets from @RAF_Marham and trail X-Atlantic for the same purpose.
