Got like 5 hours of sleep so far in Barcelona. It's 3am woke up excited to test more this week. Sleep schedules while traveling overseas are really challenging. That's a big part of why we came so early. I'm so excited for this tournament.

I just got home. I got 17th at the first fab pro tour! I was super happy with my Chane list. Made some pretty big mistakes due to inexperience playing against prism. Gonna take a couple days to relax now that I'm home but will start working on content soon :)

Should Battle Harden prize pool scale based on (expected) attendance the same way callings do? Sunday Battle Hardened side events always tend to have a pretty large crowd, especially when they are side events of larger events like a pro tour or Worlds.

Won a pro quest yesterday with kayo 🥳 but I was looking at Amsterdam and it got me thinking. I think every pro level event except worlds 2022 has been 14 rounds (7 per day) vs that worlds being 16 rounds (8 per day). I'm curious if we'll ever go back to 16 round tournaments.

@blossomingthing Belittle is one of my favorite aggressive cards and leads to really cool deck building puzzles. It's reasonably weaker than the strongest class cards and most decks have to make pretty big sacrifices to play it. I like this take.

@ThatGamerPresto Playing the draft games is great and extremely skill testing. I think the drafting process leaves a little bit to be desired because of how little flexibility there is in terms of picks in most formats but the games are very good. I'm looking forward to bright lights limited!

@Malakxy @fabtcg I (maybe bias) really like ELO as invitation criteria. I do wish that it was changed to use peak ELO over the course of a timespan rather than ELO at an exact timestamp though. We don't want to encourage players to not play events.

@YukiLeeBender Roger and I have spoken out against spectra a lot. I agree that luminaris is the card with the absurd power level. Much stronger than any individual aura, but spectra as a mechanic has a ton of unintuitive rules and interactions that make it one of the worst mechanics in fab imo

@TariqPatel10 That's fair about it being a strawman. I guess I don't see chane/starvo as any higher variance than hitting ideal draws with fai/oldhim/iyslander/briar or any of the other current top heroes. They may FEEL higher variance but I don't think we have any data to support that.

@markovictory I think something very important for a physical card game is having a good sealed format or another way to play limited that is enjoyable for pairs of players. I love a lot of the questions you've been asking on twitter. I'm excited to see where this goes.

@CayleMccreath Uprising draft has actually grown on me a lot since I've played it more, but I do agree it is frustrating how bad it feels to pivot even like 5 picks into a draft. I'd love to see reasonably bigger pools of cards in drafts. I've had a ton of drafts with about 0 sideboard cards.

@ThePitchStack @BryanGo @fabtcg I haven't dived into constructed too much yet, but I'm inclined to agree. I love that all 3 supported classes got a nice bump up in power. There is a cool new hero for all 3 classes, and the power cards are strong and impactful but nothing is on a codex of frailty power level. 🔥
