was in an accident at work and is currently in the ER in acute care. A 6-foot beam and wall fell on his head. Please pray for him.
I’m going to the doctor for a follow up after I had what I thought was an allergic reaction on my face. She diagnosed me with rosacea but said there’s something underlying going on (possibly an autoimmune disorder). I’d love your prayers if you think of me today.
It’s a very exciting time in our family! Our son got engaged Wednesday night to a sweet and lovely young lady. May the Lord bless their upcoming marriage!
@BrandonLansdown
Feeling very thankful tonight.
@BrandonLansdown
is beat up, bruised, cut, and has a concussion but he’s sitting up and he ate a big bowl of rice and cabbage for dinner. Gods grace and mercy are never ending. Thankful for his sovereign hand.
While shopping yesterday and I heard a woman tell another lady, “We are empty nesters. Just dropped our last off at college. We are FREE!” It broke my heart. Why is this how we view our children in this country? Why are we so ready for them to leave?
Getting engaged at 19 is unheard of for so many. And it's looked down upon.
But sleeping around for decades before "settling down" is championed.
I can tell you that having little to no baggage to bring in to a marriage is a wonderful thing.
Today at church there were happy sounds of babies and toddlers. My favorite part was when the two toddlers said a hearty “Amen” after our prayer. A church filled with children is a great blessing!❤️
Just got finished at the ER.
@BrandonLansdown
came away with only a concussion! Praise God! He’s very sore and stiff and is supposed to rest the next few days but he seems to be out of the woods!

This is 44! On this birthday I’m thanking God for allowing me 44 years to grow and know Him more every day. I’ve been so blessed by my marriage to the wonderful
@BrandonLansdown
for 24 years and I’ve had the privilege of raising two amazing kiddos to adulthood. Life is so sweet!
I’ve been overweight for years. I am working hard at losing the weight now. I want to look AND feel better (for myself), but I am ALSO doing it because I love my husband. He appreciates the hard work I put in and the confidence I’ve gained and he is my biggest cheerleader. 3/3
My husband
@BrandonLansdown
and I (along with 5 families) planted Coram Deo Reformed Baptist Church 10 month ago today. So thankful for our little church and the community and growth we’ve seen thus far. Here’s some psalm singing for your enjoyment.
I’m trying to get back into the swing of things after a very difficult time. Today I decided to do something I really enjoy so I canned berries and peaches. In all, I canned 6 pints of jam/jelly and 9 quarts of pie filling and sliced peaches. Praise God for the work he provides!
Why do we as women expect our husbands to be attractive in their actions (kindness, love, tenderness, etc) when we are wired more that way (emotionally) but we get mad if our husbands want us to be healthy and a lower weight when they are wired that way (physically). 2/3
🧵I’ve had high functioning anxiety for years. This means I look and function fine on the outside but I’m consumed with severe anxiety on the inside. Recently, I realized and was convicted of how sinful this was. 1/5
I love my life! I love that my husband
@BrandonLansdown
has made it a priority that I can stay home and take care of my family. I love having a godly leader! I love being a mom and I enjoy my kids and their company thoroughly. Being a mom and wife is one of my greatest joys.
May I never be a reformed person that makes others feel like an outcast. There is room for love, understanding, support, and encouragement in reformed theology. These things that I mentioned do not water down the truth. After all, we should be telling truth in love, right?!
I’ve been working through forgiveness. Here are some thoughts:
-Forgiveness is NOT for me to feel better
-Forgiveness is a commitment
-Forgiveness requires repentance
-Our heart must be ready to forgive when we are sincerely asked for it
-We are to forgive like God forgives us
Today my 68 year old uncle died of heart failure. He was singing praises and raising his hands to the Lord when he passed. Praise God, he’s in the loving arms of his Savior now.
I’ve been quiet for a couple of weeks as things have been really difficult since my AGS diagnosis. I’ve been battling, surrendering, crying out, and trusting God with my life and what it looks like now. If you’d pray for me and my family, I’d appreciate it!
@BrandonLansdown
In my daughter’s early teen years she was mad that we homeschooled and protected her from the world. Now she’s 20 and thankful that we homeschooled and protected her. Oh and by the way, both of my kids are very social and can hold convos with almost anyone. Homeschool your kids!
If something is bothering you about another person, (husband, friend, family member, etc) you should take it before God first. That may be all that is needed because it could very well be your heart that needs to change in the situation.
Here’s what I did yesterday before my little Alpha-gal/Epipen/ER situation!😳😬
I made this beautiful spring flower arrangement at my church’s Ladies Skill Day. It was lots of fun!
I would implore you, if you struggle with anxiety, to check your heart, pray for God to show you any sin that may be hidden, and work to kill it with scripture and prayer. 5/5
Trying to keep
@BrandonLansdown
resting is a losing battle. The man went to church, led Sunday School, AND preached for 53 minutes. He did sleep three hours this afternoon but I could use some support. How many of you think it’s ok to rest after being hit in the head with a beam?
Oh, so you have a cute curly headed toddler? Just wait.
Just wait until she’s 21, getting married, and she’s up at the alter and she looks at you and your husband sitting in the front row and whispers “I love you” to both of you. 🥰😭
Oh you have a cute little baby? Just wait.
Just wait when the years go by and he grows into a strong man that marries and moves on but still sometimes he needs to hear your voice and ends his phone call with an I love and miss you madre, not mom but madre 🥹🥹
Happy mothers Day to all the moms. Whether your baby is in your arms, in your womb, or in heaven, you ARE a mother and on this day we celebrate all of you! Here are the two babes that made me a mother. I love them more than words can express!
When I finally came home the trad mom/wife wasn’t a popular thing. I got a lot of pushback for not working and for homeschooling. I was afraid to go out with my kids during the school day for fear I’d be turned in. It was a hard go but it’s a decision I’ll never regret.
Today our daughter married a wonderful young man. This is how it’s supposed to be in Gods perfect design. We get about 18 years to raise them up in the fear and admonition of the Lord and then let them go into the world to make a family of their own. This is so good AND so hard.
Please pray for
@BrandonLansdown
I’m away for the next 5 days and recovery from his concussion is not going well. He has a MRI scheduled for next Tuesday. Pray he will rest physically and mentally until then.
We grew up in the same town but we noticed each other at the town carnival my freshman year in high school. He saved me from a creepy senior that was following me around. We’ve started “dating” that fall at 14 & 15. We will be married 25 years in December.
@BrandonLansdown
The comments on this are great 🙂
If y'all wouldn't mind dropping a comment/quote tweet of where you met your spouse & a pic - people seem interested 🤷🏻♂️
We met on hinge 🙏
Lately, I’ve been using scripture notecards I made to pray specific prayers about fear and anxiety, as well as Gods promises to be with me and deliver me. This has helped immensely and I’m finally finding relief from the grip anxiety has on me. 3/5
I’m saying this because I understand anxiety and fear because I’ve lived with it for so long, BUT I also understand that, at least for me, it wasn’t just something “I couldn’t help” but in fact was a sin keeping me in bondage.4/5
I was not confessing my anxiety, laying it at the foot of the cross, taking up Gods promises through his word and trusting Him to free me of the crippling anxiety and fears. 2/5
When people asked what I did for a living, I used to answer I’m JUST a homemaker. Now I’m so grateful to be a homemaker and proud to tell people that’s what I am. Feeling thankful for what
@BrandonLansdown
does so that I can stay home and be the manager of my home.
Watching humans, that I carried inside of me, grow from babies, to children, to teens, and then to adults has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
There is no situation and no age that makes it ok to abort. My daughter was 17 when she was sexually assaulted. She was offered the morning after pill and refused. Thankfully there was not a pregnancy from this awful circumstance but that baby would have been loved no matter what
After my assault and being offered the morning after pill in the E.R I still don’t believe abortion is ever an option. I would have loved that baby so much and would’ve been the best mother I could be! The lord is good even in the bad!
This is my 18 year old son. He has started roasting for our business
@ReformedCoffee
He homeschools everyday, does side jobs frequently, actively participates in our church services, and converses easily with people of all ages. He is perfectly socialized thank you very much!
The past two weeks have been really heavy and my heart hurts this morning BUT this view. 🥰. Listening to “Silent Night” as I look at the tree and enjoy
@ReformedCoffee
in my Christmas mug. 🎄☕️
I got the pleasure and privilege of talking with a new friend last night. She’s 81 years old and we spoke for 45 minutes about Christ, life, marriage, empty nesting, grandchildren and great grandchildren . I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I hope I’m just like her at 81!
This was NOT a good example of the godly older woman training and teaching younger women. This was not done in the right way and came off as gossipy and mean. I already told
@godlywomanhood
how I felt about this. Do better older ladies. The younger ladies need us.
A young woman just passed her dental boards and is all excited about being a dentist. She also just had a baby. All the women are congratulating her about becoming a dentist and are excited for her. I am saddened. How can working in people’s mouth compare to raising an eternal
My husband
@BrandonLansdown
and my son singing psalms together Sunday at our church.
I’ve heard that one way you can tell if a church is healthy is if the men are singing. So glad to belong to a church where ALL the men sing heartily into the Lord!
I was having a particularly hard morning and was having trouble getting over the hump of emotions. I texted a friend and asked if I could come to her house and help with anything. She said to come over. She spoke truth and encouraged me. Get a friend like her. Truth in love!
My husband works so hard. He hardly ever gets a day off from his jobs. He does this to provide for our family well AND so that I can stay home and manage our home. Feeling very thankful today that he loves me so well. I appreciate you so very much
@BrandonLansdown
These boys are both homeschooled and have been best friends since 5th grade. Tonight, they were invited to prom and are taking these sweet girls. Praying for a fun and safe night together.
The first Wednesday of every month our church, Coram Deo, holds a Psalm sing. Tonight we had a completely packed house and sang Psalm 8b and 69a from the Trinity Psalter Hymnal. I love my church family and singing the Psalms is like none other.
Stockings are a big deal to me because they were a big deal in my family growing up. Stockings were not a big deal to
@BrandonLansdown
because there were no stockings. So early in our marriage I TOLD him that stockings meant a lot to me. Problem solved. It’s not that hard ladies!
Today we celebrate 24 years married. I’m so thankful for this man God has given me. He’s strong, courageous, God fearing, loyal, and so funny. Hoping for many more years together!
@BrandonLansdown
Threw out my back deadlifting this morning and I can’t stand up straight without pressure and pain. I’m in the recliner with the tens machine on my back and Anne of Green Gables to read. My list of chores isn’t what God had planned for me today. I will praise Him all the same!
My thought on the modesty thing: Different Christians can and do have different standards on what modesty looks like. I struggle with yoga pants being absolutely “bad” period! What if a woman’s shirt is long enough and/or cardigan covers her when she has them on? 1/3
Im hoping and praying this won’t be a permanent thing in my life, but even it it is, I’m praising Him in this diagnoses for I know he is good and trustworthy ALWAYS. 5/5
I heard this saying a while back. “God doesn’t give hypothetical grace for hypothetical circumstances. He gives us the grace we need, right when we need it!” Let us not be anxious for anything but trust that God will give us the grace we need in the exact moment of the trial.
I love
@BrandonLansdown
and his heart for our church. In between Sunday School and service, he frequently plays with or reads to the littles. I caught this today and it made my heart swell.
We have had such a great time in Moscow! One of my favorite things about visiting here is the hospitality and community. Each time we’ve been here there have been invites to dinners and gatherings. The people here are lovely and absolutely have the community thing down.
This past Sunday at our church, Coram Deo, we were almost busting at the seams with members and visitors. We had 39 people in the living room of the home we are currently meeting in. It was beautiful, lively, and had the sound of kiddos in service. To God be the glory!
1. God is a good father who gives good gifts (Matthew 7:11). He gives us the gifts we need not necessarily the gifts we want but they are STILL good. 2/5
2. We are to give thanks in ALL circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) We aren’t just supposed to be thankful when things are going our way. We are to be thankful always. 3/5
When the DJ at your daughter’s wedding plays your wedding song, you dance! I love how
@BrandonLansdown
still looks at me after all these years. I’m a blessed woman!
Got some baby snuggles this week at our monthly ladies skill day for church. I got to learn how to make homemade rolls and bagels AND got to hold this sweet little girl.
It’s time for some big health changes in my life. Today I was put on blood pressure meds. I’m really disappointed and frustrated about this because I’m pretty sure it’s because I’m not as healthy as I should be. Time to eat better, lose weight, and be consistent with workouts!
Brandon and I have known each other all our lives. We started “dating” at 15 and married when we were 19. In December we will celebrate our 24th anniversary. Every day I love him more. He’s strong, intelligent, a hard worker and loves the Lord. So thankful for
@BrandonLansdown
I wear headbands every. single. day. So if you are like me and you are looking for a beautiful and feminine headband or headcovering, I recommend Garlands of Grace. Got this beauty from my MIL for Christmas and I love it!❤️
This is the aftermath of a fantastic Saturday morning “brunch” for my family. I used to dread the clean up but now I put in my earbuds, listen to scripture/podcasts, and thank God for the mouths He’s blessed me with feeding.
Looking for the positives in my new AGS diagnosis. So today’s positive is that God is growing me so much in this season. I’m relying on Him like never before and clinging to His promises to get me through!
Had to go private after my last post. Not sure how me listening to a podcast and posting the content of that podcast and my thoughts on it led to being told to kill myself, but it did. I’m very bothered that people become monsters behind their keyboards.
We got our yearly half of a beef yesterday. I asked for the liver this time and ALL the soup bones. I am making bone broth in my 10 quart slow cooker as we speak. Anyone have suggestions about how to add the liver to dishes?
