The outage has been caused by a fibre break and we have been provide the ETA of 20:00 for the arrival of engineers at the location of the break, with further updates to follow once they get back in contact with us.

The latest update from the outage in Newcastle and Durham is that they are working on the repair now replacing 100m of cable and then will start splicing this. We will keep you updates with further news when it comes in - Adam
For the outage in Newcastle and Durham our carrier has found an issue 14 km from the testing location. Field Operations are now navigating the fiber route towards the suspected fault location to identify any obvious signs of the damage. Any further updates we will let you know

Newcastle & Durham Outage - Our Carriers electrical engineer is currently at the fault location and working to restore power to our local data centre. We do not currently have an ETA of when this will be resolved but they are working on this as we speak. - Connor

I have just received an update. Engineers attending the fault have seated one end of the replacement fibre cable (the cause of the outage). Hopefully it should not be too much longer now. But work is still going on to restore the service.
