For the outage in Newcastle and Durham our carrier has found an issue 14 km from the testing location. Field Operations are now navigating the fiber route towards the suspected fault location to identify any obvious signs of the damage. Any further updates we will let you know

@locogirlp I have just received an update. Engineers attending the fault have seated one end of the replacement fibre cable (the cause of the outage). Hopefully it should not be too much longer now. But work is still going on to restore the service.
