Think of EBV as being a domino in the MS casual pathway or cascade. An EBV vaccine will remove 1, 2 or 3 dominoes and stop the rest from falling and hence it will prevent the next generation of people from getting MS. #PreventMS

People with MS on B-cell depleting therapies (ocrelizumab, ofatumumab, etc.) or S1P modulators (fingolimod, etc.) have blunted #COVID19 vaccine responses, are at risk of getting COVID-19 with the delta variant and will need a booster. #MS_Selfie_Newsletter

We have just published "Neutropenia following immune-depletion, notably CD20 targeting, therapies in multiple sclerosis". It is worth a read if you prescribe or are being treated with an anti-CD20 (ocrelizumab, ofatumumab, ublituximab, rituximab) =>

Are we being too ambitious wanting to cure people of MS, restore lost function and prevent the next generation from getting MS? This position paper sets out the path to achieve these ambitious aims. Or do you disagree? #PreventMS #CureMS #RestoreFunction

Exercise: how important is it? Why is exercise the most underrated and under-utilised DMT? An why is it not part of the standard MS care package? #Run4MS Me running at aged 16. I am missing it terribly. #MS_Selfie

Prof G has a smile on his face; he has just finished his daily exercise programme and managed 15 painful sit-ups. All part of his 'Bed to 5km Challenge' to raise money for #MSCOVID19 research. Please support him if you have not done so already. Thank You!

If you have a child or a sibling you may find this interesting. If they have high levels of antibody to the EBV protein complex called EBNA they are almost 10x higher risk than someone with low antibody levels of getting MS. Why? We need to #PreventMS !

This is another example of why exercise is important for brain and metabolic health. Put simply, if you have MS, it is the most neglected DMT we have at our disposal. #Exercise4BrainHealth #Exercise4MS
