@DrRJKavanagh @_dsy_v Philly police killed a 12 year old boy last night, on the back as he fled. “Shot & killed”, you can say. But murder, cold, plain & brutal is the more true way to say it. While he ran away, 12 years old, a child really. Shot in the back. Guilty they are, & must pay the penalty.

Austin cops said they shot a man who fired on them—but police later admitted he never shot at them. Yet he still faces charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon & remains jailed on $500,000 bond. And two of his fingers had to be amputated.

Kelly Coltrain was in county jail for traffic tickets, & started seizing after going through withdrawal for three days. She asked to go to hospital. Instead, the guard, unsympathetic, made her mop up her vomit. Within an hour she was dead.

Another NYer died on Rikers Island this morning. The 40 year old man is the 29th person to die on Rikers since Eric Adams took office 2 years ago, the 44th fatality there since Jan.1, 2021. The so-called detention facility is a brutal death trap. The solution: CloseRikersNow!
