Significantly more U.S. adults than a year ago, 55% versus 41%, would like to see immigration to the U.S. decreased.

Across the 137 countries and territories that Gallup surveyed in 2022, a median of 57% said they disapprove of Russia’s leadership -- a dramatic increase from 38% in 2021 and by far the highest percentage in Gallup’s trend dating back to 2007.
Democrats hold a six-percentage-point edge among the public, with 47% saying they are Democrats or lean toward the party, compared with 41% of Americans who say they are Republicans or lean toward the GOP.
A majority of U.S. adults (67%) are extremely or very proud to be an American.
