Mainly because the majority of the public despise you. So it’s one less to worry about. Just think, in 30 yrs you’ll look back and realise you were behaving like 10yr olds having a tantrum. Send my regards to her 👍
@theJeremyVine
I’ve ridden in and around North & Central Ldn for +33yrs, usually 5 days a week in the 90s / 00s , yet I never had half the dramas over these years that you seem to find in the space of 6 months.
Watching the beards go into major twitter meltdown, over some cones being removed from an area where they mainly don’t live. Vicious beards as far as the eyes can see.
Lolz x 8 😀
Well that my shiny Go Kart of to its new owner in West London. Loved it, but living north of Luton (NOT Luton!) it was probably a tad too far out. Not certain if I’ll be back now, license up for renewal in November, I’ll decide then. Meanwhile, peace.
Wasn’t that long ago the nasty editor of the Jewish Chronicle was quite literally wishing the end of the London taxi trade through his twitter acc. Funny how things work out ..... 😎
The amount of shit people are coming out with about how tbe brigade ‘should’ have tackled a 24 storey fuel coated building is laughable. Not a clue. They watch telly and think you put a wet towel over your head and walk down 24 floors via a single stairwell in 700 degrees 👏 💀
Lots of rich white bearded men who work in architecture, live in hackney, all going into twitter meltdown because local people and local councillors have rejected their cycle superhighway in west London 😂

Why do drivers still insist on communicating with Donna McCarthy? He’s an environmental fruit loop, and as you’ve probably worked out, quite lonely and a few pence short. Just ignore him. His influence is well overstated
‘Royal Albert Hall in favour of Ken High St bike lanes’ (translates into a person in their press office likes them)
I’ve been at the Albert burst on many occasions, That person clearly doesn’t grasp the demographic of their punters
I love this newly found ‘(insert %) of vehicles are only passing through Hackney’
That tends to happen when your borough sits in between Central London / The City and North and North East London. How else would they get from outer to inner London? Fly?
@PaulEmbery
Andrew lives in a nice quiet street in East Sheen, where a 3 bed goes for over a million. That’s his world with the occasional Ocado delivery or a nice bottle of wine at The Plough.
If Notre-Dame happened at St Paul’s, it would take LFB appliances an eternity to get there after they closed 50% of the local stations and then, just to help the few that are left, narrowed all the main routes into the area 👏
I can now see delivery firms just refusing to service central London. In a way I can’t wait. Lets see the activists arrive at an empty shop or two for their fair trade wine and lentil supply.
Woman asks Twitter about taking her bike in a taxi. 95% positive replies from cabbies, spoilt with the usual ‘not in my faacking cab, use the faacking bike lanes’ few.
#tradementalists
So that’s Tottenham ct Rd, Oxford st, stoke newingtons new bus lane, tooley st, bank, lev streets, basically the whole of Bloomsbury, all no go areas for licensed taxis very soon. Wonder when we’ll ever fight back
Woman in a northern town complains about Uber surge charge. She says never again. 6 trade half wits, the usual names, start telling her she should be using the Ldn taxi app and how’s she should hail a black cab etc. Thick as fuck.
Always amuses me when I see the first tweets about the new no right turn from bath street to city Rd. I tweeted that consultation 30 times, in total a tiny 900 people replied, majority in favour(500 London cycle campaign members) 23000 cabbies 👍👏
Cab drivers criticise Uber for their tax avoidance as they base themselves in countries with favourable arrangements, but are quite happy to use amazon, Starbucks etc who pay sfa to the treasury 👏
Its started. Hackney consultation on closing several streets around Shoreditch to all but electric vehicles. You really need to respond or more will follow.
Unlike many, I’m always glad when media have the Donnachadh McCarthys of the world on. Nothing does more to alienate the man on the street than a fanatic, regardless of the subject at hand.
Young professional lad promotes our trade on a YouTube channel, with a brilliantly delivered series of videos. Tfl complain and ask him to stop. Nice to see they prioritise the important stuff.
I took the decision to remove my drive with me and POV videos due to potential licensing action from TfL.
It is an oversight on my part, and I respect their communication and bringing this to my attention.
This was largely a priv…
‼️Tfl are now consulting on their road narrowing / closure streetspace schemes. Now is the time to submit your opinion. You can comment on one or all of them. Takes a few mins to tick a few boxes‼️
The more you look through the tax avoiding apps supporters on twitter, you discover that 80% are 1️⃣aged about 192️⃣work in nothing jobs 3️⃣100% clueless as to why tfl have revoked their licence4️⃣seem to think their shallow lives will end because a ph firm may close 👏
What can you do in car parking space? Play hopscotch of course. Until an entitled driver comes along and pushes you off at cost to them of 33p for a day's parking. If only you could hire a parking space to play hopscotch.
Years and years and years of video footage showing drivers holding phones. Years and years and years of knowing the consequences and STILL some cabbies do it. Genuinely thick? It’s the only feasible explanation.
Just stop holding your phone and buy a cradle.
Pimlico plumbers are inundated with work, probably one of the best known plumbers in London. So 53 beards and 17 looney left momentum types squealing that they won’t use them (in upper case with lots of exclamation marks) will make about zero difference to their profits.
400 tragic cancer deaths a day in the uk. We nearly all know a friend or loved one who’s been taken, Yet the government pulls out every stop and commits billions for a flu bug that takes 40 in 3 weeks. 🤷🏼♂️
I see the Tfl funding claim is starting to go down the brexit route with operation fear back in play. Westway collapsing, every bridge shut, bubonic plague etc. I’d suffer that for 2.5 yrs if it meant Khan ends up leaving city hall. Can’t be much worse than it is currently.
Cabbies discussing earlier about not leaving more than £85 grand in any one bank or building society in case they fold.
That’s never been a concern of mine.
£85 grand? I’d be off round the world next week! 💰😎
Isn’t it amazing. Road closure / changes Consultations attract about 2000 responses, 70% are from the anti car lobby and cycle lane campaigners from stoke on Trent. Yet 24 hours after this petition for Tottenham ct Rd is launched, we have nearly 6000 responses …. not hard is it?

He’s one of our local councillors in Bedford. Can you ask him when he’s finished dicking about with your central London cause, to get back to answering an email I sent him over a month ago about a local issue?
