In The Grind of Getting Close, Noah wakes up in a world where he can level up like a video game.
It's a blend of action, rich worldbuilding, and sexy drama.
I publish a new chapter every Sunday! 💋 Read it on ScribbleHub:

A bottle of coke is a product that looks almost identical to its platonic ideal every time. Would make sense with burgers, but not bottled drinks.
I'm sure they do it so they can display ads periodically, just like they do on fast food restaurant menus now.

The fact that Minecraft lets you play any historical version is amazing.
Most software these days exists only for a moment, like a bubble. You are forced to update, or they sneak an update onto your device while you sleep, and you wake up with a new version of your software, the

Plus even if the alien god kills us all, there's a 5% chance he brings us all back to life, hence there's a 0% total chance we all die permanently because 5% - 5% = 0%

Five more:
6) Meeting the woman you will marry
7) Finishing a life-changing book (which book depends on the person)
8) Having a kid
9) Making your first million
10) Quitting your job to pursue your dreams

I tried this in my math class, but it didn't work. Legs weren't the same length, I guess. Which is probably normally the case, no?
Anyway, this is very easy to visualize in 2D!

Trigger warnings don't help people avoid being triggered. They do, however, sensitize people to being triggered, and cause people to give up their own autonomy over their emotions. Trigger warnings are harmful.

One question is: why aren't so many women horny? Is this the natural state for women, or is this just a massive and unexplained change everyone in the West has just accepted, like obesity?
@TechSquidTV
This is me. It's rational behavior. Cost/benefit analysis.
I literally found out I had a living grandpa I didn't know about from 23andme. Big difference between that and the slight convenience of not using a VPN.

It was nice to meet the man and find out what he was like. I also now have connections with people on that side of my family. I've learned more about my medical history. And my mom inherited a bunch of money as a result.

The downside of this is that this is about as unified as we'll ever be. The future human species will be too far apart for real-time communication and so will not care about each other and will go to war.
@JarkkoPFC
You're not using it right. You're probably using it when you're not sure what you want to do yet, but you should be using it when it's obvious what you're going to do next. Saves a lot of typing.

Negative emotions aren't caused by situations, but the flawed thoughts you have about the situations. Negative emotions are supposed to be a sign you're thinking about something in the wrong way.
Check out this AI art I made! It's based on the spiral town image that's going around. I call it "swirly sky".
It's amazing that a whole new style of art has been created. People are calling it "controllism" and I really dig the name.

People who like black coffee aren't enjoying the taste, they're enjoying the experience of having a familiar, bad taste.
It's a controlled bad experience used for enjoyment, just like spicy food, sour food, and scary movies.

I'm too lazy to make a manifold account so I'm registering my prediction here: No
Reason: I think the downsides of rape will be more salient to someone who has actually experienced it, whereas someone who hasn't is more free to romanticize it.

It's obvious this would have been much harder if dogs were smarter than humans... or even had opposable thumbs. Imagine a god that could open cabinets and refrigerator doors.

The core issue is that you're priming people to have negative reactions to content they might not have had a negative reaction to otherwise.
You're also perpetuating the idea that people's emotional reactions are totally out of their control, which is harmful and untrue.

You're looking for Kagi. It's not free, but I'd rather pay money than pay by looking at ads and bad search results.

Nope, I'm saying whether or not a person is boring is orthogonal to whether or not it's okay for them to be boring. They're separate issues. Saying it's okay for someone to be boring does not contradict the claim that they're boring.

Children are also intelligent enough to recognize that it's their parents, not their sin, that's the source of their pain. So instead of hating their sin, they hate their parents.

What surprises me is that they're allowed to discuss with each other?
Like, you got 12 people in order to make sure you have variety of perspectives, and then you let the most disagreeable and charismatic 2-3 of them bulldoze the other 9-10? Why not have them all decide

I have a bunch. It's fantasy. There's bears, leathery, flying monsters, and cruel, rodent army officers. Plenty of people to fight and kill.
@Aella_Girl
I think it's about morality. You don't have to overcome any moral barrier to fantasize about getting raped, for example. But you do to fantasize about doing the raping. It requires a cognitive dissonance about morality that 2/3 of people are incapable of.
I used DALL-E 3 to generate an anvil bird from my story, the Grind of Getting Close. It's incredible! I wouldn't want one of these things dropping on my head!

It's a phrase used only in a certain corner of the internet. If your audience is primarily those internet people, you're good. If you're writing for a wider audience, most people will find it confusing and maybe cringy.

Rape fantasies are natural, not only for those with a history of sexual assault, but for the whole species. Women in particular. Rape in our evolutionary history has caused rape fantasies to become innate, since those women who are aroused by rape are more tolerant of rape, and

This whole idea makes zero sense to me. Kids are basically blank slates and can handle literally anything you tell them as long as it doesn't undermine anything they've been told before.
It's adults who are hypersensitive, neurotic, and fragile.

Sex that lasts long enough that your minds become calm, like when you go for a walk or take a shower. Sex when you're in no rush.

Or, let them get upset. Let them learn that sometimes it's time to go, even though they don't like it. I'm not sure negative-emotion minimization is optimal parenting. Though you'd probably be a great dad either way ❤️

As a writer, I believe an AI training on my writing is fair use as long as it's not outputting my exact writing.
AI works the same way as the human brain. Do humans have to pay a fee to those who inspire us? No.

What is the point of this tweet though? Do you think human nature is going to change overnight? I'm sure similar sentiments have been etched into ice age cave walls.
