UPDATE: Vanderbijlpark Water Supply Shutdown - The team has completed repairs on the reservoir supply pipeline. Valves have been opened to recharge the water network and test whether the seal at corner Frikkie Meyer Blvd and Barrage Road holds. Further updates to follow.

UPDATE: Vanderbijlpark Water Supply Interruption. The team has successfully completed resealing the damaged pipe. The seal will be allowed to set for 24 hours, and if it passes required tests, water supply will be restored by no later than Sunday, 06 June 2021.

Today, Emfuleni intensified revenue collection efforts in Riverbend, where power to over 100 non-paying consumers was switched off. Collectively, the properties owed as much as R20 million.
The municipality also discovered illegal connections in the area.

ELM Mayor, Cllr. Sipho Radebe launched two additional fire engines at the municipal head office in Vanderbijlpark today, marking another major step towards efficient emergency responses by the fire department.

Consumers in parts of SE 1 and SE 7 are notified of an emergency water supply interruption currently in effect. This is due to a burst 100 mm pipeline at corner Christiaan De Wet Street and Louis Trichardt Boulevard.

Emergency Water Supply Interruption in Three Rivers. Municipality is aware of a water supply shutdown affecting consumers in Three Rivers, due to a collapsed main supply valve at the local reservoir. Welders have been dispatched for repairs. We apologize for the inconvenience.
UPDATE: Emergency water supply interruption in Steel Park. Repairs completed on the 200mm main water supply line. Water Demand Team will soon open valves on the pipeline to restore water supply. It might take some time before water is fully restored to all of the areas.
