A man was arrested at the N12 roadblock on Friday, 17 April, for attempting to smuggle his girlfriend out of GP to MP, without a permit. Law enforcement asked the man to open the boot to search, they found a lady inside. She was also arrested, she consented to be smuggled.

SAB trucks were stopped at Chamdor near Kagiso, on their way to deliver alcohol worth about R13m. The drivers were fined. Police are looking for the managers who issued the instruction for the trucks to deliver, so they can be arrested. Well done Brigadier Maduna and team.

A lady was rescued after the car she was in, with 2 males, was stopped by police in Sebokeng. Said she last remembered being in Sasolburg, drinking with the guys and they were supposed to take her home around Sasolburg. She said she must have blacked out. 2 males detained.

A taxi was stopped in Mamelodi with 22 passengers, 11 adults and 11 children. They are coming from Marble Hall in Limpopo and allege that they used gravel roads to avoid roads with roadblocks. 6 children aged between 3-13 years are travelling unaccompanied.

Members of the Gauteng Traffic SLEU, SAPS, EMPD & JMPD, have arrested a suspect in Tembisa linked to the Rosettenville CIT incident. The suspect is believed to be the one who shot at the police helicopter. They also recovered 4 riffles, ammunition, police and G4S vests.

While dispersing a crowd at a party next to Fisto's Tavern in Naledi, police searched cars parked on the street and found a firearm and ammunition in one of the cars. Further search in the car revealed that the owner is also a loan shark. He was unable to produce a license.

The Gauteng Traffic Police intercepted 3 suspects who were on the way to commit a business robbery at Kempton Park Fair Price. When the suspects passed the traffic officers, the officers followed them. Back-up was called and the 3 were arrested. 4 firearms were recovered.

Three suspects arrested in Erasmia for illicit cigarette trading, and contravention of National Disaster Regulation act/2020. 208 boxes of Illicit Cigarettes were confiscated. Each box contains 100 cartoons. Total estimated value of all boxes is R4, 16 million. Well done SAPS

The things our people drink unknowingly. You buy imbamba, not knowing that you are drinking iimpethu (maggots). We found imbamba enempethu in a shack at Izimbuzini informal settlement. The owner is said to be at work.

Truck was stopped at #OkaeMolao roadblock. The driver said the truck had mixed cargo headed for Congo. The driver was asked to open the truck & while officers were searching, he attempted to bribe them. The driver was arrested. The truck will fully searched by SARS Customs.
