Dublin is likely to receive as many as six more seats, spread across its 11 constituencies, based on the recommendations of the Electoral Commission in its review published next week.

We have significantly reduced county boundary breaches that see people voting outside of their county. The Commission recommends the removal of 7 of the 10 existing breaches of county boundaries and proposes only three new county boundary breaches.
When deciding on constituency boundaries, the Electoral Commission will respect county boundaries where possible.
