🚨🚨 2024 Big Boy Board 🚨🚨
The 2024 Big Boy Board is live!!
Currently 83 trench prospects ranked, linked to my evaluation thread of them as well as their RAS cards
The NFL fined

WR Ja’Marr Chase $15,914 for unsportsmanlike conduct — taunting

players after teammate Tee Higgins’ touchdown in last week’s win.
How come when the Eagles sign a guy early before the market moves for that position it’s smart?
But when the Bengals do it and the player complains after outplaying said contract they’re a poverty franchise?
I have an idea for a trade between the Colts and Bengals
Colts get-
Jonah Williams
28th overall pick
Bengals get-
DeForest Buckner
35th overall pick
106th overall pick
Is this reasonable?
It’s really just mind blowing after last year that Bengals fans have the gall to scoff at good linemen in the draft
We are an injury away from Trey Hill playing Center or Isaiah Prince back at RT
I really feel like the Bengals lost a little bit of what got them to the SB trying to chase the top teams of the AFC instead of trying to continue to build a roster to compete in the division
I genuinely don’t care if you can beat KC and Buffalo if you go 0-5 in division
I didn’t realize so many fans didn’t like the Myles Murphy pick
I love it, excellent fit with the long term in mind. Adds a you change up to spell Hendrickson/Hubbard, has the tools to be a high level 3-down player
Just a solid pick
I’ve been thinking about this DL rotation since the draft and I have some random thoughts I need to get out there
First thought is I’d love for the Bengals to use his disruptive ability that he showed in college, him and Rankins could cause some havoc together🧵
Tyler Linderbaum (C 65)
Everyone in Cincinnati’s dream draft pick and a very legitimate option at 31 imo for a couple reasons
NFL does not value centers as high as they should
And he is going to measure smaller than Billy Price
But he’s easily a top 10 player in my book
The reason the content was a little sparse this weekend
Me and the wife had the number 1 overall draft pick and got us a foundational piece, a true blue chip prospect
Meet Draft Baby Judah
Huge McKinnley Jackson fan
Explosive first step and violent hands, needs to work on consistency and pass rush
Solid selection and based on my film study correct value here for the Bengals
I completely overlooked McKinnley Jackson (DT 35) last season because I don’t think I watched a single A&M game where I was focused on the defense
I was missing out

Mock draft? Mock draft!
For this week’s The Overhang, I fired up the ol’ mock draft machine and match 32 prospects with 32 picks.
PLUS, an extended player breakdown on my QB1 for the 2024 draft class: Drake Maye.

DC Mike Macdonald as their new head coach. Seattle was willing to wait for him if Baltimore made the Super Bowl.
Instead, their season ended last week and he takes a big-time job. He’s currently in Seattle on a 2nd interview.
Cowboys were in the mix today for RB Zack Moss, a person familiar with the discussions said. Ultimately, the price extended past their comfort point. Moss agreed with Bengals on a two-year, $8 million contract that includes $4.525 in earnings this year.
I’m really optimistic about this draft class for the Bengals, I think they did a great job taking high ceiling guys at positions of need, and all of them have skill sets that fundamentally mesh with how the Bengals have played football during the ZT era 1/?
5. Defensive end Myles Murphy appears ready for a big jump in year two.
“There’s a difference between combine condition and football condition,” he said. “I was in great combine condition last year, but not in good football condition. Now I’m in really good football condition.”
Ok, so I’ve got 25 DTs under my belt for the draft, and the Bengals NEED at NT which are hard to come by, and probably another 3T, gonna get a thread together of some of the guys I think are a good fit
I think 2 NTs could be likely, 1 early and 1 (very (🤞🏻)) late 🧵
Ok, earlier this week I was asked to compare Jackson Carman to Jonah
I’m not gonna do that
What I am going to do is show you what Carman looked like in college in a playoff game, what he looked like last week in a playoff game and where he has improved/can improve still

, the Chiefs wanted to trade up for Amarius Mims before trading up for Xavier Worthy.
The Chiefs would later draft Suamataia, but cool tidbit that they liked Mims that much.

With the 237th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Bengals selected Matt Lee, C, Miami (FL)
Let’s take a closer look at Lee, and why I think he’s a good fit for Cincy 🧵

CB Kristian Fulton turned down offers from the Bengals, Broncos, and Cardinals to sign with Chargers per source. Fulton goes to LA on a one-year deal.
There are no immediate upgrades to Jonah Williams available for the Bengals this season, you are getting equal to or lesser in FA and a wild card in the draft
I don’t think this is the slam dunk some of you think this is
For me this has nothing to do with an extension and everything to do with playing Sunday but that’s just my opinion
Such a phenomenal day from these receivers, if I’m the Bengals I’m thinking hard about trading Tee
If they can get an Brain Thomas or AD at 18, pickup a late 1st/early 2nd and build the trenches with the next 2 picks
That to me feels like a good long-term foundation
Trade terms, per sources:
🏈Steelers get pick No. 98 and two 2025 7th-round picks.
🏈Eagles get QB Kenny Pickett and No. 120.
It’s a similar value to Washington got for Sam Howell.
@DraftGuyJared
Do you think Fautanu is better than Jonah? I feel like his prospective talent level is probably similar? Having 5 years on a rookie deal for a Jonah type player seems like a small win at least
It’s really just a bummer because it was literally all the issues we pointed out in the offseason in the very first game
It’s a long season and this team has shown they can correct it
I completely overlooked McKinnley Jackson (DT 35) last season because I don’t think I watched a single A&M game where I was focused on the defense
