In 2017, the first edition of my Paediatrics book was published. It was a sensation as it swept across most medical schools in Nigeria and was also popular amongst Paediatrics interns. It made understanding clinical paediatrics easy.
Glad to have been inducted into the Royal College of Surgeons, England, MRCS(Eng). Grateful to all my mentors and teachers. I dedicate this to you.

Had a great time at the AO Basic fracture management course. Worked through principles of fracture management in several scenarios and on several bone qualities.
I will recommend the course for any budding Orthopod.
Today, the 2nd edition of that masterpiece has been updated. Many thanks to the pool of brilliant editors who worked tirelessly to ensure the most up-to-date information relevant to clinical paediatrics were included.
This study revealed that cerebrospinal fluid can be analysed at the point of care without needing to send samples to the laboratory. This is particularly important in resource poor settings.
The CSF samples were analyzed using a glucometer and combistix.

, I am glad to present our current survey on "Misconceptions about Traumatic Brain Injury in Five Sub-Saharan African Countries: An E-survey". Why this study?.... Let's begin...
My friend

A surgeon and his son were in a ghastly motor accident and the surgeon died. When rushed to the hospital, the surgeon said, 'I can't operate on him because he is my son'.
Who is the surgeon?
Fellow Nigerians, it's 3 days to go and in my quiet moments I know that Nigerians are wondering what Peter Obi is thinking. I will share my thoughts here because I have Nigeria on my mind!

Publised a case of "Delayed presentation of syringomyelia after retrosigmoid craniectomy and resection of vestibular schwannoma: discussion of mechanisms"
A very informative case.
To all the fifth year medical students, paediatrics interns and academic board chairperson(s), contact me to grab your copies and we also send bulk copies across Nigeria.

Diagnosed this a month ago, changed the catheter and urine bag. Started the patient on antibiotics, urine was clear the next day.
E.coli colonization/infection has been commonly implicated as the cause.
🧵1/ With patient permission. This is one of our I6 PGY2s (right) doing a mitral repair, a superb PA (left) is assist and an attending is 2nd assist. A resident anesthesiologist is at bedside.
Many patients wonder how residents participate in their care.
One asked this week:
"I practice over and over again...Everytime I got it right, I learnt nothing...Everytime I got it wrong, it gives me an opportunity to reflect and learn something new"...
-David Beckham's reflection on how he became great in free-kicks
Our paper on "Systematic Review and Critical Appraisal of Canda Equina Syndrome Management During Pregnancy "
Key points from the review:
- Cauda equina in pregnancy is a rare entity, 1-3 per 100,000 people.
- Disc herniation is the comment cause, 73%.

I definitely agree with you, and buttresses the point that ChatGPT's information must be fact checked.
I inputed the question thrice in ChatGPT, the first 2 gave me 4cm as answer, and last one was 1cm as the answer.

Your brain floats in darkness and has no sensation.
But with sensations from your body, it creates a picture of the world around you.
What happens to your brain when you remove all sensation?

The results from the laboratory were compared with those from the point of care kits.
The results showed that a combination of combistix analysis and glucometer can serve as a reliable and accurate synergistic means for early diagnosis of CSF pathologies.

I'm going to run an 8 part lecture series on the Physics of Orthopedic Trauma and Osteosynthesis. This isn't some remix of AO principles. This is a unique look into the mechanics of trauma fixation from a mechanical perspective, and explains why i fix things the way I do.
Proposed Solutions:
1. Development of Educational strategies for prevention of TBI.
2. Increased advocacy for funding and research in TBI on the continent.
3. Halting TBI patients' stigmatization in Africa.
The tickets for our Big Charity Neuro Kahoot quiz are live and only £1 + booking! Whether you're looking for a bit of fun trivia or a hardened neuro challenge the quiz has it all!!!
