I feel so foolish and idiotic! I thought the finish line was finally, unbelievably, in sight. I felt so proud of myself that an honest publisher actually wanted to champion my story. Now, it turns out that publisher is nothing more than a predator preying on people's dreams! 😢

Just an update: I had another call scheduled with S&S on friday. When I went to cancel my app I got a msg that the call was already cancelled! I sent them an email to let them know I won't be having the call with them and got an auto reply that the address is not found!

Everyone keeps saying how hard querying is, and they're right. It's awful and the waiting months for a reply to queries, to fulls is agonising, but I get it. Agents are busy and they have a lot of things going on at once. What I'm so totally fed up of is being ghosted.

And... it was a no! 😢 Not gonna lie, this one did a number on me. Easily one of the hardest rejections I've had to swallow and I've been feeling like a garbage writer since. And it was made worse bcos even in rejecting me this publisher was so damn nice! 😢😢

@MichelleMMcGr The email revoking the offer was signed from both the agent and the owner of LLA. I emailed them back, saying I wasn't demanding anything, just merely pointing out what the SOA told me and they did not reply back. If it was a misunderstanding they would have!

The downside to finishing a revision, sending my ms to beta readers for feedback and sending out a new batch of queries is that I'm back to checking my inbox every 3-5mins! And I've literally only just hit send on the last query! 🙄😆
