YouTube doesn't hate small channels. Smaller channels typically haven't provided enough strong traffic data for YouTube to work with in order to take strong actions. Give YouTube more to work with and it will give you more in return.

One mistake I think a lot of Creators make is not replying to comments because they take time & YouTube implies they're not a major algorithmic factor for recommendation. But guess what? VIEWERS absolutely use them for deciding whether to watch more of your content or not.

If you've tried using YouTube's Research tab and absolutely none of the Search information seems relevant to your niche, that's a huge clue to a potential problem you might have on your channel. This is a lens into who YouTube thinks your current target audience is.
