“You need to relax”, “you are working too hard”, “you need balance” blah blah. Basically implying that you need to break the cycle of a robust routine. I never feel more relaxed, just disorganised. At the end of the day, discipline equals freedom, and discipline comes at a cost.

When ever I read/listen to any advice now, I try to be very disciplined about asking: "does this person live a life that even remotely resembles what I want?". Then weight the advice accordingly.

A lot of men should not be interacting with the world if they are not doing some form of exercise consistently. Some method of depleting excess energy. For me it is a night and day difference. Live a sedentary lifestyle if you really want a fucked up mental state. That simple.

Used to be on board with intermittent fasting, one meal a day, breakfast is optional etc. But not anymore. For me, empty stomach, exercise and coffee is a recipe for high anxiety. Worrying about stupid stuff. Carbs calm the nerves.
