Disgraceful and unprofessional. No announcement from @CIFSS , CCL or Hueneme. My kids think they are in and find out today they aren’t. This is an embarrassment. Only team punished here is us and we don’t know why cuz all of the adults are radio silent.

It’s Sunday morning. The @CIFSS brackets have been released. It looks like Hueneme forfeited a game to Santa Paula because it made the playoffs as an 8-1 automatic berth. But there is still no official announcement from Hueneme High, Oxnard Union or the Citrus Coast League.

Sickening situation that nobody prepares you for. The coin toss should’ve never happened. I could’ve focused on playing more seniors. Hueneme Administration and the CCL could have gone about this much differently. The lack of integrity… & my kids are the only ones punished

The second automatic playoff berth in Citrus Coast League football has yet to be decided. Nordhoff celebrated it on the field last night after its win over Carpinteria, combined with Hueneme’s loss at Fillmore, plunged Nordhoff, Santa Paula and Hueneme into a three-way tie.

Convincing one of your players to only focus on your sport, in my opinion, is one of the most selfish things anyone can do as a Coach. Your players improve as maturing adults through structure, exposure, and learning from diverse coaching styles. Push them to try something new!

Probably the most talented player I’ve ever had to draw up a defense against. Still tore us up. This kid ran down the sidelines past me and it sounded like a horse flying by. Schools would be foolish not to sign this kid.
