@RaesTake But wasn’t the weather cold at Prefontaine. Even the announcers said the weather wouldn’t permit fast times for sprinters. 75-85 F is perfect weather for sprinters. Pre was 60-63 F. Check all those fast times in Eugene and there will be a correlation in regards to the weather

@_romeko That race took place after Jamaican nationals when shelly ran a 10.73 the week prior. Shelly was already in shape and that time was a reflection of the meet not the athletes considering no one even broke 11 seconds. Elaine is looking to get in shape which I know she can.

@JoyBoyLex Some athletes have first race jitters. So their first race ain’t necessarily their best. Second round and beyond is when they really settle in. But I don’t know if that’s the reason they do it. I just assume they want all 9 lanes filled and this is the simplest way to do it.
