CRAZY ‼️ Ohio has had more than DOUBLE the tornadoes so far in 2024 than the entire Tornado Alley area combined! 🌪️🌪️🌪️ The #tornado count for the year in #Ohio is 16 (as of 3/15/24) and very likely to increase as storm surveys are completed through the weekend.

SIX MONTHS AGO TODAY!!! LEVEL 3 snow emergencies were issued for most of our area as travel became impossible by evening. It was our biggest winter storm of the season with 6-12” of snow for most and some snow drifts to 4 FEET in rural areas. Today will feel over 100° warmer

BENCHMARK WINTER STORM: This could be one of the bigger Snowstorms in Toledo and Nortwest Ohio History. We have reasonably high confidence in snowfall of 12" or more. This is an extremely long duration snow event with the heaviest thump of snow on Thursday.

FIREBALL METEOR! 💥 Over 160 pending reports across 13 states and Ontario of a brilliant #fireball #meteor this morning. The majority of reports were from #Ohio . The meteor was described to have a vibrant blue or white steak that faded with reddish glow.

UPDATE: #Toledo Record high broken at 56°! Absolutely incredible that we shattered a record low Thursday morning of -10° and in less than 80 hours we broke a record high. I’ve never seen such extreme records broken in that short of time.

AMAZING "Light Pillars" illuminate the #Toledo sky this morning! They are quite rare and develop only in cold, arctic air masses. Millions of tiny plate shaped ice crystals suspended in the air reflect light back to the ground causing this optical treat!
