I bought a house, my dream car and got engaged all in a space of 8 months. 4 years I couldn’t afford to pay house rent. I was squatting with @dr_olt in North side Chicago. You can’t tell me God is not real!

I took a year off med school because my mother was battling cancer and so my dad couldn’t afford the school fees and chemotherapy at the same time. I was feeling bad because I felt i was behind in life. You cannot tell me God is not real!

@SSNaushon @olsonplanner If athletes with so much skills get to retire at 35-40 i don’t see what’s wrong with a physician who has given 30+ years wanting to work 4 days a month at 54. Instead of guilt tripping people into working longer we should find more ways to get younger people in the field.

@drpepple_ I endured medical school and residency. Only enjoyed the knowledge, helping patients and friends i made. Everything else was ghetto! Expensive tuition, poor sleep, poor diet, Sapa, missed family events, high level stress. It the end it was worth it though.

One Attending I worked with on my first day of residency when I was stupid as hell 😂 told me that it’s now she can call me doctor that I didn’t know anything before. I 100% agree. The growth curve is really steep.
