Delighted to share our latest work, out in
@NatImmunol
, tackling the seemingly inordinate complexity of
#cDC2s
.
@ReiseSousaLab
@TheCrick
, we found that distinct ontogenetic lineages dictate cDC2 heterogeneity, rather than cell states imposed by the tissue microenvironment 🧵(1/x)
🚀 I feel extremely proud to announce that I’ve been awarded the prestigious ERC Starting Grant to start my own lab

Today I finished a project. 1.5 years, 54 in vitro and 23 in vivo experiments. It’s been the toughest project. There won’t be any publication coming out of this work, just the satisfaction of learning through the process and a good measurement of my resilience as a scientist
All you need to know about the impact of origin on

Our review is out! We revisited current knowledge about origin, function and phenotype of

and propose a new categorisation and nomenclature. Hoping this would be a useful resource for

I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to feel useful during lockdown 🙏 Definitely this kept my mind sane 😊
This has been one of the most exciting projects of my life 🧡 Mum asked me and my best friend from school (now a famous architect) to design her new house. Here it is after completion and I couldn’t be more happy. I’m going to miss my designer sessions 😢
The last work from the Reis e Sousa lab is out in

This paper by
@MiriamMerad
was our choice for journal club discussion today. Lungs, IL-4, dead cells and dendritic cells studied in tumours. All my favourite immune protagonists put together, what not to like? 😍
Today I vaccinated

Thrilled coauthor and proud of my friend
