The Iron Claw needed an MCU style scene at the end like Oppenheimer had. Kevin could have been signing autographs outside the Sportatorium and a little boy walks up to him. Kevin asks “who do I make this out to?” And the boy responds “Chris Benoit”
@h3xenbrenner2
It's so funny how mad people got at this. Being constantly late for things is rude and everyone knows it. It isn't depression or ADHD. Everyone has things in life they HAVE to be and are on time for. They just view themselves and their time as more important than you.
@MeganBitchell
Her “profession” literally means she has to perpetually date. Which is an experience that offers nothing to almost everyone dating because most people date to look for a relationship, not to date forever because dating fucking sucks
@DoragonzuK
@Arbor_Bench
@owenbroadcast
I actually think it's belief affirmation for a lot of their audience. Most of them settled down with their partner in their hometown when they were young and in those movies they get to see the girls that left for the city come to the same conclusion they did after heartbreak.
@iworshipsatin
@jacobposting
I think it's definitely at least based on someone he knew or based on a romantic relationship later in life. True to life things that did happen in the movie were not necessarily in their actual real life order. Like he met John Ford when he was 15 not when he was in college.
@JohnDiLillo
Does Disney just want Spider-Man in their movies so badly that they don’t care that Sony is pretty obviously trying to tie their films in with the Disney ones and market them/confuse people?
@Sturgeons_Law
@weinercasanova
Disney in general has been doing this for all their big movies. “oh what’s that? you don’t like our tenth live action remake of one of our animated movies in four years? That must just be because we changed the race of one of the characters and made one of them vaguely queer”
@Sturgeons_Law
Must every person be built into some kind of against-all-odds success story? She was a darling in the indie before she was 25 years old. She had the talent to make things happen quickly and did. I guess everything has to be framed in a “victim overcoming” way these days
Actors and fitness influencers need to be honest about rampant PED usage because it’s basically killed the public’s perception of what an in shape person looks like. Yes, your favorite actor that somehow got an action figure body in four months while in middle age did steroids
The Hillary doomer people are so funny. A black guy named Barack Hussein Obama that was in the senate for 12 minutes can destroy a “qualified” white war hero candidate in a general election. But electing a woman is impossible because an unlikeable woman like Hillary didn’t win
@JohnDiLillo
The Hubris of Marvel only a few years ago was crazy. That something like this got hundreds of millions of dollars because it was a meme for a weekend
@DahliaLovexx
I guess it's weird he matched with her but she literally filmed him without his consent as prank content for her tiktok and is trying to spin it into a "social justice" thing after being called out. Have some self-awareness and responsibility.
@Srirachachau
When that movie had just come out I literally remember a non-ironic reddit post that was like, "just got the Nice Guys on torrent, Shane Black is a genius, why doesn't Hollywood make more movies like this?"
@bookybook5050
@V2Jake
@JohnDiLillo
When Wandavision was actually using the episodic format and doing decade parodies of sitcoms I thought it was pretty creative and cool (and not just by generic MCU standards). Then by the end it’s a giant world ending cgi fight with people shooting orbs at each other
@EvilKeaton
@NeilNevins
Yeah I can sort of see that one because that movie was deeply panned and *beneath* the sort of picture Clooney typically does. Reynolds has appeared in so many bad movies in just the past five years that its funny he still goes back to Green Lantern
@hottrashbabe
@LanceStLaurent
the funny thing was was that they gave Best Picture to what is basically a Disney Channel movie too. People act like they only nominate shit like Last year at Marienbad when it's usually super accessible American movies
@TheTumboy
It’s so weird because in wrestling he was one of the most sexual people ever and talked about eating chicks out all the time. Then years later you see him in Red Notice and it’s weird to see him kissing a woman.
@Srirachachau
They literally advertised the House of Wax remake from 2005 (a big Hollywood horror movie) around getting to see Paris Hilton strip and get killed on screen
@GalaxyPeaBrain
At what point do shareholders step in? These movies need to make like 600 million dollars at least to even break even. And to do that (at a time when less people are going to theaters) you are going to make an R rated Marvel movie about something called “the Tunderbolts”???
@justbrizigs
The documentary genre exploding 1000x during the streaming era hurt the genre. So much harder to get anything that’s actually good/unique to get actual traction
@thesolarcoffee
They are responsible for people freaking out about spoilers at a nuclear level for sure. That’s what happens when you make movies where “who shows up” is more important than what happens
@IANdrewTheGiant
Honestly for an older conservative guy I was pretty impressed with Dutch in that video. He does acknowledge he doesn’t understand everything but people are going to live there lives the way they want to and there’s nothing you can or should do about that
@TheyThemItalian
There were people on here who called Guy Fieri a fascist because he had a short, non confrontational interaction with Trump at a UFC event
@RifewithKatie
Some of these awards are just hack jokes by writers like the razzies. Like what point is this one trying to make? Your movie sucked??? Like, sorry a bunch of older women appeared in a sequel to a successful movie that was a light comedy meant for older women!
@Sturgeons_Law
And who cares who directed it. It doesn't matter who directs these. I have seen almost all of them. Remember the Office episode where they make an ad and the only thing they get decide is if they clap or wave at the end? That's directing one of these.
@LazlosGhost
Just watched all 3 of them for the first time. Liked them, but I will say I don’t think it’s a series that benefits from watching a bunch of it at once. I think I liked each entry a little less as it went on. The lore and action of that world is going to be exhausting at 3 hours
@ThatJakePC
@Srirachachau
I really do not think Glenn Close, Robert Redford or Gwyneth Paltrow would tell you working on a Marvel movie is the same as working on a prestige one. Paltrow admitted to acting in a Marvel movie and not even knowing which one it was.
@bornposting
Nowhere does he even attempt to justify doing it on a completely different series. Probably because the answer is very obvious that they simply want to train viewers to consume more Star Wars shows
@neoskychedelia
@headfallsoff
There’s gonna be so many characters they introduced from 2019-2024 that will either never appear again or will only get a short cameo
@Srirachachau
I always wondered if Cotton was once like Bobby and was hardened by the war. I always liked that Bobby looked like Cotton while Hank very clearly looks like his mom.
@responsiblerob
his style of comedy does not mix with doing social commentary AT ALL. Can you imagine if Michael Winslow started talking about the deficit after making crazy noises beep booping?
@fiendformojitos
From what I have seen of Marvels TV, none of their shows use the episodic formula correctly, they just seem like extended movies. Or they do, and abandon it part way through.
@CrazPills
@Bunker_Object
@DahliaZahava
Netflix is 100% putting in scenes like this so memes like that one be passed around. The fact that it came from an actress that didn't even get a real role in the movie is soooo cynical
@smoogymma
He isn't in as an athlete though, all sports have non athletic participants in their hall of fames. What UFC really lowered the bar with in their modern wing was Cerrone's induction.
@RaxKingIsDead
I don't know if later P&R started it, but I do dislike the "what if everyone was just nice to each other and got what they wanted all the time" trend in comedy
@Sturgeons_Law
What series are these people watching that these films are such great examples of representation in front of or behind the camera? They aren't for the most part.
