#DoddyWeir was an absolute hero. Not just for his rugby. The way he lived with MND was an inspiration to so many,including my mother. He never hid from it, he opened the door for everyone to see it. He did a powerful amount to raise awareness of a horror disease. RIP Big Man 😢

#PopeBenedictXVI told me in 2006 he had listened to the BBC during WWII. He'd been drafted aged 16 and was sent with other classmates to help guard a BMW factory. His affection for the BBC was both lasting and sincerely felt. Much warmer in person that often came across on camera

We almost lost our daughter to Sepsis at the same age. We had no idea she was so ill until it was nearly too late. We owe everything to a fast thinking Italian doctor at the Bambino Gesu. It is so important to raise awareness on this. Huge sympathy for Clara and @Jason__Watkins
