Rarely tweet about UK party politics, nor when angry. Going to break both those rules in relation to Downing St & COVID parties. I hardly saw my mom in the year before she died, in Jan 2021, because I obeyed the law. Laws can't just be for little people. The PM should go, now.

Two major differences: Ukraine doesn’t have Iron Dome (because Israel has so far prioritised relations with Russia over helping a country in need), & no US, UK or French aircraft have been in the air to help Ukraine shoot down drones & missiles. If we help Israel, we shd help UA.

@anders_aslund Anders, I hope for this, but this confidence is premature. Defence easier than offence; if UA goes on offensive, it will face same problems as RU, but starts w fewer forces. War may end up in stalemate rather than RU defeat. Then question is if W sanctions can force RU to stop.

Arghhh! Jeremy Corbyn just said on #Marr that the European Court of Human Rights is "in part an EU institution". It isn't! It's a totally separate institution, arising from a separate treaty which well pre-dates the EU and would remain in place whatever version of Brexit

1. It wasn't a slap in the face. The #EU had been saying the same things for ages, but UK govt chose not to listen. 2. Deciding that because your leader is incompetent you'll fight harder to deliver her vision seems a bit of a strange approach, unless you actively want to fail.

What the Salzburg slap in the face has damaged is much more than the Chequers Plan. It has undermined Tory MPs trust in Theresa May‘s judgement, negotiating skills & ability to deliver a deal. Though it may have increased their readiness for a fight
