This is beyond inspirational. I posted a picture of my little boy having a rough moment while at a wrestling tournament and this man, @DeronWinn offers to help my son get to his wrestling academy from Iowa to Cali. Our world can use a lot more of this kindness. I am so grateful.

If you ever see this little guy at ball games he is my son, Kinnick. He is happy and handsome and full of character. He does well in school and I love him to pieces. He asked that I quit my job and become a gamer with him so I can help him get to all the next levels. Blessed ❤

God has a plan. We need to trust it. My wife and I had 4 miscarriages. One of the greatest days of my life was seeing our twins w an ultrasound in 2008. Then, one of the worst days losing them. Just when we were going to give up our little man came to us. So thankful for him. ❤

Because of state basketball I have not been able to see my Mom since I found out she broke her hip on Wednesday night. I brought her a rose off our state championship flower bouquet. The least I could do for the woman who brought me into this world.

One of the worst things a couple can go through is a miscarriage. My wife and I had 4. It's physically and mentally brutal. But, look at this little Miracle that came into our life. Blessed to be his parents. God is great.

FUNNY STORY: A few years back I had a donkey that was pretty sick. I had to make an emergency call. A well Known Vet from the Aplington-Parkersburg area came. When he got there he told me that he didn't want it to get out that he was saving a Dike New Hartford coach's ass. 🤣

8 years ago today we got a call from our adoption agency telling us someone had picked my wife and I to be this little man's parents. Not born yet.. but he was coming soon. 3 week due date...He came in 3 days. ❤️

I've been very open to the fact that my wife & I had 4 miscarriages & 1 adoption where we had a baby & the mom changed her mind after 3 days. Then God gave us Kinnick. Every summer, I take him to the Field of Dreams movie site & take his picture on home plate. So blessed. ♥️

The greatest call my wife and I ever received came May 31 2015. 7 yrs ago. Our adoption agency called to say there was a lil boy not yet born but was going to be our son. He was to be born June 21 but came just 3 days after the call. Beyond blessed. My baby boy was on his way ❤

15 yrs ago we lost a loyal, tough, kind hearted kid, Treye Blythe. Treye would run through a brick wall for you. We lost a tough playoff game his Sr year and the next week instead of pointing fingers or complaining he just kept saying to me, "I'm so sorry coach-I'm so sorry."

The thing I was most proud of Kinnick last night at his pre-school graduation is he was 3nd to last to get his diploma out of about 60 kids. He sat so patiently and clapped for the other kids. He is so kind. Proud Dad.

So proud of my wife. She has done an amazing job as director of the Dike Public Library. She is also a part-time hospice social worker. For 32 years she has been a social worker... advocating for people who are struggling in life. Not to mention a great mom and a coaches wife!
