I worked on the original Higurashi Sotsu, but this was way more fun because Enna fits this universe so well 😂
This is my gift for your concert, I'm sure it'll be amazing!

I had the immense honor to work on the grand finale of Black Clover! This is very important for me, as Black Clover was my first anime work. Give the studio staff an applause for the amazing episode!

Ok, so here is the funny story about Mushoku Tensei
#12
😂
I've told some colleagues that I witnessed a real "Waifu War" at one episode I worked at, and it was indeed this one. The "War" being the animators fighting over the new cute girl of the series.

So here is a little secret: This cut I animated for the last episode of Otachan was way longer, but due to time constaints, it was chopped. The team worked really hard on it despite of that, so I thought I would show what we had.
@OtakuVs
@OtachanShow
This is a part of animation people outside the studio rarely gets to see. The time-sheet is an standard document detailing almost every aspect of an animation cut. And it can vary from just a couple of numbers to a very frightening one like this.

I worked on One Piece

! They let me close the epic fight between Oden and Kaido! This one was my most challenging work yet, but I want to thank all the staff for trusting me and being patienct with me. I'm very happy with the results!

So that was it, "Waifu Wars" are real for some episodes. We might be professionals but the weebness is stronger 😂
Btw, this episode had the most beautiful storyboards I've ever seen. I store them as a little treasure. Hope you guys get to see them someday!
In the end, instead of the Kishirika sequence, I got the part when Rudeus talks with the Hitogami, and even though it was very interesting, I was like:
"I wanted to draw the cute girl, but ended up with the naked fat otaku instead..." 😂💔
It happensed that amost all the animators in the episode (including me) wanted to animate the Kishirika sequence, because it was simply hilarious and the character is so cool. So we began flexing and bargaining with PA-san so we could get the sequence...
I was very happy when I saw the episode, though, because Sato-sensei made the sequence look as funny as I imagined. It was the right choice from PA-san.
Man, I was so afraid of animating this cut 😂
Yami's Dimensional Slash always has a lot of personality, so I was afraid I wasn't up for the task.
Thankfully (and thanks to the staff), it ended up looking great! 🙏

Things like: PA-san, I promise I can make this sequence faster, so please give it to me!
It seems we put PA-san into trouble, because he didn't know whom to give the sequence and we were all putting preasure. I think it even delayed the production like a week 😂
What is your biggest impact on the vtubing community?
I directed the first anime quality lore videos for Vtubers in the West, which basically changed the market from that point.
We showed that it was possible to achieve excellent quality without going to the big anime studios.
What is your biggest impact on the vtubing community?
Right now, Vbridger
Hundreds of Vtubers use Vbridger daily to augment their tracking, it helped live2D reach parity with 3D ARKit tracking, and is very poggers. Of course I didn’t do it alone,
@xserp
and I share this impact
@dotdotKam
I remembered this very obscure documentary when they Miyazaki why Yubaba's size always changes. He basically says everything in animation is subjective. When people care about something it just seems bigger to them.
Ok, I know I'm super late to the party, but I did LO for some cuts in Mushoku Tensei

😅
In compensation for the lateness, I'm going to tell you a funny story that happened in this episode, so stay tuned for my following tweets😂

By an unbelievable stroke of luck, I was able to do some LO for the last episode of WEP. This anime motivated me to continue through a difficult period, so it's very special for me. Thanks to

I worked on Moriarty the Patriot episode 14! This one is very important for me, because Production I.G is one of my favourite studios. Thank you for the opportunity!

I always encourage people to move the jaw a bit when they animate characters talking, but moving the neck is also a great detail that very few animators consider.
This particular time-sheet was painstakingly written and corrected by
@Jubeinine
and Jorjz, for the cut number 45 of Shark'd. And it describes all that's happening in the preview below:
I could not believe my luck when they told me I got to open not just an episode, but a whole series!

Hello! Today I bring you something different.
I animated on episode
#2
of Sayonara Watashi no Cramer. Not muscle dudes fighting this time, but a light hearted story about girls chasing her dreams on women's footbal 👧⚽️
Btw, I'm really proud of this cut if you haven't noticed 😂
Time-sheets are basically a lost art in the Western animation industry, but are still widely used in Asia, so learning the right way to fill and read standard time-sheets is one if the first entry barriers for those who want to work for the anime industry from outside Japan.
I had forgotten to tell, but I did some work on the Dedede movies 🛸
This one is super special because some of the first things I uploaded to this account were Dedede fan animations, and now I could help on the real one.
Hope I can watch the movies soon!
I want to sincerely thank all the people who have shown love towards my work in the past few days. I feel so positively overwhelmed and motivated to keep bringing you scenes that you will remember fondly for many years to come.
@MataraKan
Hey Matara ✌🏻
I’m an animator and director with a lot of japanese anime and Vtuber experience. I’m available now and I can help you get in contact with bigger teams if you need. Let me know!
Also called "exposure sheet", it shows the exact fraction of a second in which a specific drawing must be shown on screen to create the illusion of movement. It also in some cases shows camera movement and a whole range of effects. It almost like a primitive programming language.
Look who's there!
I was able to help a bit on Onimai

LOL, I remember I was super close to do this scene myself in this episode, but I didn’t pick it because it had too much CG. Glad it ended up being as funny as I imagined 😂

Thanks for following, guys. There's a ton of interesting things in the works!
I found out recently that you can see an early prototype of this sequence in the “Raggedy Ann and Andy” movie by Richard Williams, almost 15 years before this.
Link to that one in the comments 🔽
While the rest of the world moved towards computerization, Richard Williams and his team continued to do incredible work like this with pencil & paper.
