In NY the cost of living is higher, they have less job security, they don't have the NHS, etc, so of course they will get paid more. Look up "compensating wage differential".

Don't even get me started on sex tourism and Ukrainian women that I've seen with some ads. Blocking ads is the right thing to do.

@MENnewsdesk I have strong feelings about this. My own opinion is that there needs to be something like a "credit score" system, so if X customer is found as claiming a refund for a silly reason, they are banned from all the major platforms from buying. This is the only way of ending this.

@jasebyjason I would probably say this is one of the things I hate about landlords the most. No one owns a share, for instance, and expects the value of it to never decline. But landlords in this country seem to think the value of their investment should be risk-free and never decline.

@mmpadellan Kayleigh McEnany was an accomplished lawyer. IIRC, she graduated top of her class. She also had to overcome health issues that entailed getting a mastectomy. She's had to overcome a lot. I respect her more than Jen Psaki.

@desculottees @headnavy I think at a technical level, this is easier to make, so cheaper for Fenty to build. If it was for the skin, you would have to account for things like lighting, bone structure, etc etc, so it would cost more to hire a tech firm/programmer(s) to build it.

The Netherlands is actually the "Kingdom of the Netherlands" and as part of it include Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire and they are black people who are also Dutch. Suriname was also once part of the Netherlands too, so there are black people who are 100% Dutch.

@_Makhanya_ @_6signxxx We have a famous boxer here in the UK called Tyson Fury. He was battling very severe depression, and even almost committed suicide. It was a strain on his relationship but he says it was because of his wife's support he's put those demons behind him. He has 7 kids with her.

Many white Americans got jobs and opportunities through them, that's why they were so influential. Thankfully they are no longer the force they once were.

@rensjustvibin @inputmag No, it's more complex than that. If you're a business and don't protect your trademark, what happens is something known as trademark dilution or "genericisation". Basically, the the trademark becomes commonplace & therefore can't be upheld in the courts (e.g. "Hoover").
