@Sobriety_Club Yes it is. When I quit, I treated M&Ms the same way I did my booze (Vodka) buy hiding it from my husband. I felt really guilty too. I confessed to these cravings at an AA meeting and was told by an old timer, "You won't be arrested for fat driving". Alcohol is high in sugars.

@pevchikh This thread really angers me. This woman, Polina, waltzes in, buys an apartment worth millions in cash. I've spent 6 1/2 years in the UK, 3 1/2 of which trying to get leave to remain. Unlike many foreigners here, I follow the law. I don't work for pay and now I can't volunteer.

@MediawatchNw In Pacific Grove, California there was a place called Beacon House where addicts could go to immerse in AA. I spent 6 weeks there in early 1983. After leaving, I volunteered to drive residents to AA meetings until I left in the autumn. They saved my life.

@chipfranklin He was diagnosed with Aphasia, not Dementia according to the CNN article. Aphasia CAN be part of early onset Dementia, however it can also happen due to head injury, brain tumor or other disease.

@wefunkster @tokyorav This reminds me of a parent story. When I was 4, my dad changed 2 vacuum tubes that had died from the TV. I watched him carefully. A day or so later, my mom found me at the back of the TV. With the back off. She screamed for my dad and at me. They checked. I had unplugged it.
