This painting titled Narasimha (1899) is one of the rarely seen works by Ravi Varma. The painting is borrowed from the Puranic tales that Ravi Varma grew up listening to and depicts the Narasimha avatar from the Dasavatar. @DalrympleWill @Hiranyaa_ @monidipadey
