As Chairman of one of Alaska’s oldest & largest statewide family owned businesses and a fifty year member of the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce, I eagerly await them removing the fucking marbles from their mouth and explaining how these devastating state cuts helps my business.
If you're following
@mayor_bronson
shelter fiasco where he committed five million dollars in taxpayer money to Roger Hickel Contracting without legal authorization you should also follow the campaign money.
*New* The political thuggery in Alaska is not random, it's part of the chaos theory and we explain. The loss of Alaska's legendary Don Young has created a political vacuum that many are looking to fill.
@myster
gives you her take on summer fashion
Do you know what would be a great editorial from the
@adndotcom
? A demand of the governor to explain what his economic recovery plan is for Alaska? Oil at $40. Tourism decimated. Small business and communities alike hanging on. Seems like a damn good time for some leadership.

amazes me. In office 100 days, attended countless committee and assembly meetings, Amy Demboski served on the assembly herself, and yet none of them have figured out the basics.
A state senator from Eagle River representing a portion of downtown Anchorage is all you need to know about this gerrymandering of a redistricting effort. Another example of why having an independent judiciary to protect Alaskans is so critical.
When I see
@GovDunleavy
writing articles about how he will protect women across Alaska from sexual predators, I'm reminded of how he failed to protect a woman just ten feet from his desk from a sexual predator.
Day 125 of
@GovDunleavy
refusal to explain why he allowed Kevin Clarkson his close trusted advisor to sexually harass a junior employee steps outside his office door. If not for
@kylehopkinsAK
breaking the story in August the victim's story would not have been told.
The work that
@DermotMCole
and
@mattbuxton
have done on the emerging procurement scandal in the
@GovDunleavy
administration is stunning and all Alaskans should be following. Alaska's unemployment rate is 11%+ and they're bending rules to send jobs outside to friends.
Can we please get one thing straight? Alaska doesn’t have a $1.6 billion budget deficit that
@GovDunleavy
is trying to fill. He’s gutting the state’s current and future economy to handout an additional $1.6 billion in cash payments to Alaskans while starving public services. End.
Keep the mask debate going while limiting Covid testing which will decrease reported cases to give a false impression we don't need masks. Brilliant flight plan.
When the attack on the U.S. Capital began
@SenDanSullivan
who never lets us forget he's a Marine, literally ran and hid behind closed locked doors fearing for his own safety but yet he voted against an investigation into who forced him to retreat.
Dear
@RepTomMcKay
I’m going to make it my personal mission to ensure you never serve another term representing Sand Lake. You won by seven votes last election and yet you still insist on being the league leader in ignorance and obnoxiousness. Only seven votes…tick tock Tom.
So a company opposing ANWR draws
@GovDunleavy
ire so much he Tweets about it, but his closest advisor sexually harasses a junior employee for almost a month and it's Twitter silence from him.
Former Governor Hickel penned in his book Crisis in the Commons, “the dividend has become like heroin, Alaskans are no longer concerned about the commonwealth, just getting another fix.” Meet Alaska’s biggest heroin dealer selling to boomers in harvest mode.
Day 6. Waiting for answers.
@GovDunleavy
everyday women suffer sexual harassment in the shadows. Clarkson's case is now public after a cover up failed. Every day you go without accepting responsibility is a clear reminder to women that powerful men always get away with it.
Day 87 HE KNEW IT. Alaska leads the nation in crimes against women. One reason women don't report sexual abuse/harassment is they feel no one will believe them and/or nothing will be done to provide them justice.
@GovDunleavy
has given a textbook example. He should resign.
This is my buddy Alexander and he is in first grade at
@ASDschools
Do you know
@GovDunleavy
funds prisoners at a greater rate than Alexander and his classmates? DOC budget up 40% in last 5 years. Education down 2% during same time.
BREAKING: The Alaska National Guard will be sending troops and helicopters to Texas to assist
@GovAbbott
with their border issue. Attorney General Treg Taylor and General Torrence Saxe briefed the House majority on this earlier this evening, per sources.

It’s no secret to anyone that I’m a pro-life Governor, and my administration is ready to work with all of you over the next four years to achieve my goal to make Alaska the most pro-life state in the entire country.
It has been 28 DAYS since
@GovDunleavy
took a vow of silence on the resignation of his disgraced close advisor...and...7 MONTHS since he promised Alaskans a deep dive into why the grandson of a big donor was hired. Our governor has a real problem with transparency and ethics.
If Mat-Su lawmakers had approved the budget they'd have $118 million in dividends for their constituents and another $32 million for infrastructure repairs. Instead they opted for $56 million in dividends and no capitol money. Ignorance and greed make a bad cocktail.
This would be a good time for Republicans who don’t believe that beating the living hell out of cops is “legitimate political discourse” to step up and say so.
Day 98. A single mother of two who works in
@GovDunleavy
office was repeatedly sexually harassed for a month, ignored by HR for two months, told to say it never happened by the COS and then the governor was going to allow the offender return to work as if nothing happened.
*NEW* Angela Rodell was told shortly before her firing that she was being targeted by Dunleavy and Richards, “they’re coming after you” one political insider told her. The latest on the Rodell scandal and much more on our next podcast up later this afternoon.
A special podcast on why and how the hit on Angela Rodell was executed drops Monday morning ahead of the scheduled LB&A meeting. This is absolutely nuts people and it’s all about control of Alaska’s $83 billion permanent fund.
This is why
@GovDunleavy
is letting every aspect of state government fail. Drive the population down by starving those things the next generation needs like public schools. Meanwhile pay a full dividend while taking over charter schools so they can sell religion.
@AndrewHalcro
from the ADN, August 28, 2019: " While a state senator, Dunleavy told a reporter that Alaska needed to have 100,000 fewer people. This statement implied a 14% drop in the population."
Excuse me but the guy who has presided over five years of outmigration, rising crime rates in his own neighborhood and economic failure in Alaska has something to say...
In the end, leadership requires conviction in one’s values to make the right decisions, especially in the face of daunting odds. Political history is littered with examples of those who have taken on these odds and lost. Defeat is always possible for those who try, but for those
Much of the criticism you read about the Mayor and the state of the city are politically coordinated attacks to distract from the governor whose approval ratings have dropped double digits in the last three months.
EMAIL FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE ALASKA STATE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: "We support the cuts. We suport lawmakers who are making the cuts." This is what it looks like when your organization loses all credibility and has become little more than a political tool,
Alaska is failing in education, failing in public safety and has the worst economic growth in the country. Meanwhile 4,300 working age adults moved out of Alaska last year because it's hard to see a future. Yet this is the marketing pitch from
@GovDunleavy
...
For all those great citizens of the State of Washington who value the 2nd amendment (actually all of the Constitution) think about moving to the great state of Alaska.
Day 54 of the governor of Alaska playing hide and seek with Alaskans. He hides while Alaskans seek answers to why his administration has become a string of scandals and legal incompetence. Clarkson, Penney, Collier, Alvarez and Marsal, Tandem Motion the list goes on.
@GovDunleavy
Day 125 of
@GovDunleavy
refusal to explain why he allowed Kevin Clarkson his close trusted advisor to sexually harass a junior employee steps outside his office door. If not for
@kylehopkinsAK
breaking the story in August the victim's story would not have been told.
(Thread) It is now clear that
@GovDunleavy
Chief of Staff Ben Stevens knew about the Attorney General's sexual harassment of a junior employee for months, told her to forget it ever happened and then tried to cover it all up with the governor's blessing.
Not hard to understand. The school district is responsible for busing students safely to school and educating them. The mayor and governor are responsible for maintaining roads so the school district can get students to school safely. Very clearly defined public responsibilities.
Reading the Rodell investigation report I am struck by the fact that she was fired for performance related issues by a board of directors who UNDER OATH could not identify one single performance related issue. Ya...nothing to see here.
After reading
@julia_omalley
front page story yesterday about the condition of downtown I went to have a first hand look for myself. This is the front entrance of Visit Anchorage at high noon. CC:
@mayor_bronson
He is the least qualified mayor in Anchorage's history. He was elected by the slimmest margin in Anchorage's history. He was elected after a campaign of misinformation. He has surrounded himself with people cut from the same cloth. What did we expect?
Day 92 of
@GovDunleavy
silence on his AG's sexual harassment of a junior employee. "Clarkson visited her in Dunleavy's office and would stroke her hair or kiss her on top of the head." WHAT was it the governor promised Alaska's women?
@SenDanSullivan
Did you even bother to read the indictment? If you have and this is still your take, you have no business being a public servant. 37 charges including 31 under the espionage act. Jesus dude...what country are you protecting?
*APD is not AOK. How
@mayor_bronson
secret "men's club" has become the shadow police force*
A special episode of With All Due Respect drops Christmas Eve at 5pm.
99 days....99 days....99 days...of silence from
@GovDunleavy
on why he was going to tolerate sexual harassment just steps outside his office door by his close trusted advisor. What man of any moral fiber would continue to be silent about sexual harassment?
Translation: The people opposing the initiative to reform election laws have broken election laws while telling you there is no need to reform election laws. Please vote Yes on Ballot Measure 2 to reform elections laws.
It's incredibly difficult to Stand Tall for Alaska when you're curled up in fetal position hoping the public and the press stop asking you questions about your cover ups. cc:
@GovDunleavy
If
@GovDunleavy
has decided that he doesn’t want Alaska reporters asking about Kevin Clarkson at his weekly show, so he is choosing instead to get written advance Facebook questions, he should at least tell Alaskans why he is so afraid of dealing with real questions.
#akleg
It'd be a worthy exercise to compare alleged shady contracts issued by
@mayor_bronson
Purchasing Director Rachelle Alger with political donors to her husband's current assembly campaign.
Day 8. Waiting for answers. What does it say about your moral character
@GovDunleavy
that you fly to D.C. to stand against the evils of federal regulations but you refuse to stand in your own front yard against the evils of sexual harassment committed by your trusted advisor?
Day 140 of
@GovDunleavy
silence on why he hasn't fired Ben Stevens. Sexually harassed for almost a month by a powerful official. Asked to stop and he didn't. Complained. Ignored for two months by HR. Told to be stay silent by the COS. Governor knew about it but did nothing.
While 37 lawmakers are in Juneau fighting for the future of Alaska, these 17 lawmakers are having lunch with the governor in Wasilla. All of the pain and damage these vetoes will cause their fellow Alaskans and they’re having the equivalent of an office lunch party.
I'm unsure the definition of "woke mob' but know the definition of "the mob." An organization who keeps offenders on the payroll, silences witnesses, awards contracts to unqualified friends, creates pay to play schemes and extorts individuals and businesses for their own gain.
Day 63 of
@GovDunleavy
silence. Things the governor could be answering right now... Clarkson (why wasn't he fired) Penney (why was he hired) Pebble Mine (why did they say they're pulling his strings) procurement irregularities (why send jobs outside when unemployment is 11%+)
I received a letter from disgraced former Alaska attorney general Kevin Clarkson threatening to sue me for slander if I don't write a public apology to Art Mathias for the opinions I expressed on this podcast. I have two weeks...
Day 81 of
@GovDunleavy
refusing to answer unscripted questions from the media. How does this guy look in the mirror and not be embarrassed by brutal lack of leadership at a time when Alaska needs a leader the most?
In my twenty five years of state politics I’ve never seen a Alaskan politician campaign on restoring trust and transparency so vehemently only to forfeit their credibility by literally hiding from a half dozen scandals.
@GovDunleavy
How it started:
Mayoral Candidate Dave Bronson in April 2021 on his homeless strategy, “They will be removed from our parks, public streets, and our business and residential areas,”
How it's going:
Day 102 of
@GovDunleavy
refusing to answer questions about SEXUAL HARASSMENT by his AG. Now we know the facts about this creeper's behavior: It was UNSOLICITED. It was PERSISTENT. They LIED about it happening. She was TOLD TO SAY IT NEVER HAPPENED. These are not good people.
..a big donation to the national party that was passed through to the state party, he wanted me to support Pete Kott for speaker of the house. I refused. Ten years later both Kott and Allen were in jail. So if you hear “political parties will become extinct”...it’s about time.
Allow me to put this into perspective...according to the publisher of the ADN,
@GovDunleavy
has consistently refused to meet with the editorial board and discuss his plans for Alaska. But he's angry their reporters won't parrot his unhinged press conference nonsense. 🙄
You would never know if you relied on the
@adndotcom
for your news, but yesterday I spoke at length about Alaska’s most pressing issues, especially education. The ADN had two reporters there, but no story. Why? Luckily, you have other choices for where to get your news.
Day 41 of
@GovDunleavy
vow of silence regarding the cover up of Kevin Clarkson and why the governor was going to allow him to return to work after getting caught lying about sexually harassing a junior employee.
Day 96 of questions regarding a serious case of sexual harassment that occurred in the governor's own office. If there was any question about
@GovDunleavy
competence the fact he refuses to be accountable for something that happened steps outside his door is proves he is not.
In 1999
@lisamurkowski
and I were freshman legislators serving on two committees together. Three weeks into the session she turns to me and says “Andrew, do you ever get the feeling you and I are tge only members who read their bill packet?” She’s gonna want to hear more.
Day 89. We now know why
@GovDunleavy
has refused to to explain what he knew and when he knew about his attorney general sexually harassing an employee. He didn't want Alaskans to know he was going to let a sexual predator continue being the top law enforcement officer in Alaska.
77% want more money in public education, 65% think
@GovDunleavy
is leading Alaska in the wrong direction after six years. The linked poll demonstrates a failing governor.
The linked poll demonstrates the people of Alaska want better schools and outcomes for their kids. Educational special interest - not so much. The kids of Alaska are worth the fight!
Quite a sight to see the
#akleg
minority now trying to cherry pick their overrides like they're eating at a buffet. Senior benefits, crime and a $3k dividend effects people who vote in my district so save those only. Sorry darlings this Is public policy not the Golden Corral.
47 days of silence from
@GovDunleavy
regarding why he was going to ignore Kevin Clarkson's sexual harassment and let him return to work even though his victim was a subordinate employee. No thought what so ever on the victim's behalf.
100 days of silence from
@GovDunleavy
Since a governor is supposed to be the centennial of fairness, ethics and honest government. Since a governor is supposed to uphold the law for all citizens including state employees but ours hasn't...allow me to remind HIM of the law:
After a week of record breaking cases and less than an hour after telling Alaskans to reduce the spread of COVID
@GovDunleavy
is at a fundraiser doing exactly what’s caused the record number of cases in the last week. God we are so in trouble with this guy leading Alaska.
Day 94 of the governor of Alaska refusing to answer questions about why his Chief of Staff Ben Stevens told the victim of sexual harassment to say it never happened. Imagine the message being sent to any woman who works for
@GovDunleavy
: "We tolerate sexual harassment."
Day 75 of
@GovDunleavy
ignoring his responsibility of being open, honest and transparent. I've watched every governor Alaska has had for the last forty years and this guy is just embarrassing.
Just a reminder that 9 months ago today
@GovDunleavy
promised the public a deep dive and subsequent report into why Clark Penney the unqualified grandson of one of his biggest campaign donors was given a lucrative position with his administration.
This is a former superintendent of Alaska's largest school district with one of the best salaries and retirements offered in the history of Alaska. Earlier she said "the more you know, the more you know." It's clear she doesn't know much, including what time of day it is.
Rep. Himschoot is concerned the numbers are overinflated by families applying to multiple schools.
Commissioner Bishop: "I don't have that piece of information."
But she's pretty sure there's a high demand for school choice.
Two national bond rating agencies give the Municipality of Anchorage a positive outlook as opposed to the recent downgrade for the State of Alaska. Hey
@GovDunleavy
call our Mayor and ask how this stuff works.
Day 9. Waiting for answers.
@GovDunleavy
On January 20, 2018 you wrote “Is Choose Respect Dead” where you slammed former Governor Walker’s response to sexual offenses against women. “What happened to you is NOT your fault.... 1/3
I've had the privilege to personally know six former Alaska governors. The current occupant of the governor's mansion will go down as the most untrustworthy, incompetent and politically compromised office holder in Alaska's history. Hammond and Hickel would both weep for Alaska.
Day 44 of
@GovDunleavy
refusing to answer questions about an entire menu of scandals but most importantly why he was going to allow Kevin Clarkson to return to his role as Attorney General after it was known he lied about his sexual harassment of a subordinate.
Day 36 of
@GovDunleavy
covering up for Kevin Clarkson's behavior. That's 36 days he has failed to show that he believes powerful men should be held accountable for their treatment of women.
What Happened in March 2020: "Clarkson visited her in Dunleavy's office and would stroke her hair or kiss her on top of the head."
What was Promised in January 2018:
Day 93 of
@GovDunleavy
silence while hiding from the fact he looked the other way when a junior employee in his OWN OFFICE was being sexually harassed by his close trusted advisor AG Kevin Clarkson and then to add insult to injury told her to say it never happened.
Day 4: Waiting for answers on this score card. 27 days, 558 texts to her private phone, 18 unsolicited invitations to come to his house...and 1 governor trying to cover it up.
The fantasy: We need the Knik Arm Bridge because there is only one way out of Anchorage.
The reality: We need to save money so turn off the lights on the only way out of Anchorage.
Day 7. Waiting for answers. It's been a week since
@GovDunleavy
attempt to cover up Clarkson's sexual harassment of a junior employees was reported by the press. Still no answers on what he knew, when he knew it or why it was the press not the governor to force a resignation.
