Lots to unpack here. Bottom line: No, the CDC did not 'admit' only 6% of deaths were due to COVID.

Wow this thread is amazing!! The food and beverage lobby is huggee and it's hard to get patients to eat healthy when we can't give them an environment that supports healthy eating. Look at grocery stores, marketing ads, the farm bill etc. all heavily influenced by industry
For someone who grew up on soda, I’ve come a long way. I grew up in an obese family. It was hard being an overweight kid. At age 10 I forced myself to start dieting. If that sounds unhealthy, well, it is, and so is how our society makes people fat. THREAD.

Impact of advertising. A common misconception I've seen in clinic by new parents is that their kids should be drinking juice. It's important to reiterate that kids do not need juice as part of a healthy diet.
In patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and obesity, treatment with semaglutide (2.4 mg) led to larger reductions in symptoms and physical limitations, greater improvements in exercise function, and greater weight loss than placebo
Breaking down scientific information is one of the most important skills anyone can have. It's why I love teaching nutrition to middle school kids.

I enjoy speaking in scientific terms with people who understand

Urban school districts in the U.S. lag behind their counterparts in other parts of the country in food & nutrition education. For e.g., just over 60% of schools in Boston & just over half in Oakland, Calif., report teaching the benefits of healthy eating.
