If you've a few minutes to spare this is my case for Scotlands Independence.
If you like it please share it, if you don't feel free to tell me why. Thanks.
"Nicola Sturgeon doesn't understand the British people..."
Me neither to be honest. They voted for Brexit and Tories. And they don't understand the Scottish people.
Sounds like a great reason for Independence.
The single biggest argument for Scottish Independence - and it all actually boils down to this single issue - we have diverged politically from the rest of the UK and we are outnumbered 12 to 1, so the ONLY WAY we'll ever get what we vote for is with independence.
That's it...
Sturgeon accused of exploiting Covid to promote Independence, when the truth is that Westminster has exploited the Covid Inquiry to promote the Union...
Anybody else sick of being gas lit?
Boris Johnson: "I lost my whatsapps, let the bodies pile high, herd immunity, its only old people - they had a good innings..."
Covid relatives - NICOLA STURGEON CROCODILE TEARS!!!
F*ck off, just f*ck off. This is not an enquiry, its a Unionist/Tory witch hunt.
Maybe its cos I'm an old git, but I remember when other parties leaders resigned and everyone showed a bit of class and said nice things about them.
Alex Cole Hamilton, Douglas Ross and Anas Sarwar are utterly classless political opportunists. Just thoroughly nasty twats...
Douglas Ross:
Tory aides knew his expenses were "dodgy" for years, but kept schtum til DR did the dirty on David Duguid, then decided to leak them.
BBC now frantically spinning this as an internal "spat" and ignoring the fraud aspect.
We can't trust the tories, or the BBC...

There are 195 countries in the world, using 180 currencies.
Scotland does not need to reinvent the wheel. Every currency option will work, with or without the agreement of rUK.
I see the Severn and Clifton bridges were closed today.
Has anyone demanded Grant Schapps resignation or blamed the Conservative party for not coming up with a plan to keep them open when its windy?
"There is no such thing as Ukraine, we are all Russians..." says Putin.
Has anyone ever heard any British Nationalists make exactly the same claim about Scotland? Cos I have, many many times...
Breaking News - "The Rosebank Oil field, which has been known about for ten years, given the go ahead."
Quick recap. Ten years ago was a year BEFORE indyref. And while YES were trying to tell the world about Rosebank, Better Together and David Cameron were denying its existence.
I don't think Scotland is getting enough credit in the media around Englands "sewagegate" scandal - and Thames Water's imminent bankruptcy.
We chose to keep Scottish Water in public hands and resisted the pressure to privatise.
We wernae too wee and too poor, we were too canny!
Hi
@Jackson_Carlaw
Downing Street knew about Cummings six weeks ago. After
#NikeGate
perhaps you'd like to explain the cover up and secrecy around this?
Thanks
When Ian Blackford is disrespected in Parliament its not Ian Blackford, or the SNP, that is being disrespected. Its Scotland, and every single person who lives here.
Labour have no mandate to bypass the devolution settlement. The people of Scotland voted for Devo, Westminster cannot be allowed to simply dismiss democracy in Scotland.
What will it take for the Scottish electorate to wake up and defend what's ours?
74% of Scots voted for a devolved parliament to take control of Scottish affairs. By bypassing Holyrood, Labour are again denying Scottish democracy. We may as well not vote here because clearly, like brexit, what Scotland wants does not count.
This Brexit deal is fantastic news for Scotland. It means that as an Independent member of the EU we will still have a trading arrangement with rUK.
Scream that from the bloody rooftops.
The one genuine obstacle to Independence has been taken off the table. Thank you Boris.
The involvement of David Davis merely confirms that there are UK establishment forces involved in this effort to divide the YES movement.
So all the more reason to ignore all of it and deliver the mandate. Indy is bigger than this circus.
Don't be distracted.
Sorry, but if you share Wings stuff you're getting unfollowed. When people show you who they are, listen to them. He is not on our side. He is a reckless egotist who thrives on attention, and is a self confessed Tory voter. He never backs down, he's never wrong, even when he is..
A levels in England to be replaced with "Advanced British Standard".
Education is devolved. The Advanced British Standard is only in England.
There you go Scotland. Thats how aware the UK Prime Minister is. Thats how much he cares. Thats how much Scotland matters in this Union.
Kaye Adams has just read out a message that equates Humza Yousaf's 'Tory free' slogan with Hitler's 'final solution' that saw millions of Jews murdered. Not for the first time Adams' hatred of the SNP has caused her to cross the line. Seriously, she needs to go.
Story so far:
LibDems have held 4 out of 4 seats
Labour have lost 1, held 2
Tories have lost 2, held 3
SNP have held 36 and gained 3
And the BBC would have you believe its all bad news for the SNP...
You know something…
We should stop calling it BBC Scotland, and more accurately refer to it as The BBC in Scotland.
Ditto RadioScotland - BBC Radio in Scotland.
Its not devolved. Its imposed. And very very British.
Last week
@BBCScotlandNews
told us the SNP were “joining the fight” against the Tories child care cap.
I wonder
@BBCScotlandNews
will ask Scotlands Labour MPs when they’re going to join the fight?
Hello? Anyone? Anyone at home BBC??? Scotland calling the BBC… Hello? Hello?
In the UK it would not be possible for someone like Nicola Sturgeon to ever become Prime Minister.
In an Independent Scotland it would not be possible for anyone like Liz Truss to become First Minister.
Thats the difference. Thats why Scotland can offer a better future for all.
Has any UK media outlet told us that Scot Gov is ALREADY giving out £7.5k grants for heat pumps?
Which is £2.5k more than the UK gov is offering NEXT year?
GERS. What is going on? A short thread.
Depending on which year you look at, 15% of the UK population is responsible for 65-80% of the UK deficit.
Scotland. Wales. Northern Ireland.
A cursory glance says something is wrong, but nobody challenges this!
What if they’re right?
Brexit disaster is unfolding, Scotland is outperforming UK on covid, support for Indy is up to 58%, UK is in utter crisis, and we're arguing whether or not an ex MP was a sex pest and which toilets people should use?
Divide and conquer is a tactic GB has used for centuries...
The easiest gig in the world is being in opposition at Holyrood. You don't have to have any thought out or constructive alternative for anything, every day is a free hit at the folk doing their absolute best, and you get a free ride from the entire media.
Money for nothing...
I honestly don't know what
#sarahsmithresign
isn't trending on twitter.
That was straight up gaslighting and proves that nobody in Scotland can trust the BBC.
She lied on our news.
Pretty clear tonight that the WhatsApp smears around ScotGov are entirely baseless, and are founded entirely on innuendo. Probably in an effort to deflect from UK Gov shitstorm, or at least to drag us in to it...
Some Scottish Journos need to look at themselves.
"Loch" is a gaelic word. And every single body of water in Scotland, bar one, is called a "loch". From Dunbar to Durness, Stranraer to Scrabster.
Hoselaw Loch is within 1km of the border!!
Thats a bit weird since gaelic was only spoken in remote outposts by so few people...
Scottish media.
100% guaranteed, there wont be a single journalist that takes on board todays statement from Nicola Sturgeon, or gives her a fair ear.
It will be completely ignored, and the baseless orchestrated frenzy will continue for as long as they can milk it.
Wondering if Humza Yousaf is allowed to phone, email or text foreign leaders without checking in? Is he allowed to be friends with them on Facebook?
We need to know how petty the Tories are here. Will Humza be locked in his bedroom and have his phone taken away?
GB Energy, taking the energy Scotland generates and giving it to England, while charging Scots the highest energy prices in GB...
Broad shoulders. Pooling and sharing. Family of nations. Too wee, too poor and too stupid...
Wow. Lisa Cameron. Thats a helluva way to commit hara kiri...
She is not a political activist, she is a political opportunist, who used the SNP to kick start a career. I suspect it may be quite a short career from here though.
And when the SNP have to find £100M of savings they will be pilloried by both Scottish Labour AND the Scottish media.
Too many people here have their heads zipped up the back...
💥BREAKING!💥
The Scottish Government’s Barnett Consequentials ''additional funding'' of £180m has been slashed by the Labour Government, with the Scottish Government now set to receive just £80m.
This is most likely down to Labour having to plug the £22bn black hole.
SNP accused of "playing politics" for putting forward a Bill calling for an end to the slaughter in Gaza.
Starmer got the Speaker to rip up the rule book to avoid the "embarrassment" of some Labour MPs voting for an end to the slaughter in Gaza.
Who is playing at politics???
Johnson - let the bodies pile high!
Sunak - eat out to spread the virus!
Cummings - drive 200 miles for an eye test!
No 10 - rules don't apply to us, lets PARTY!
Scottish media - tumble weed.

The one undeniable truth we must remember from the McCrone Report: London lies to Scotland about our finances, then locks it away as an official secret for 30 years - because the truth is a threat to UK national security.
That is historical fact.
I was a Civil Engineer, working for a Client organisation for over thirty years. My employer had a policy that we could not accept any “gifts” over an arbitrary (low) value, from anyone in connection with our business.
If I accepted clothing for my wife I’d have been sacked.
@el_snoop
@DmitryOpines
Thats pretty much why he wasn't sacked after Barnard Castle. If he was sacked at that time everything would have come down like a house of cards. While he was giving his presser in the rose garden there were parties behind the hedge...
Look at the time lines.
📈 New figures show that by 2026/27 Scottish generators will pay around £465 million a year in transmission charges.
💰 Generators in England and Wales will receive a subsidy of over £30m a year.
🏴🍃 Scotland has the Energy, we just need the Power.
The reason this is NOT happening here is because the people getting grotesquely rich from these windfall profits are Tory donors and supporters.
We are getting robbed blind. The UK is collapsing and the government and their pals are looting before the lights go out...
Meanwhile Westminster has just concluded a 4 month investigation into Stephen Flynn for the mis-use of 28p worth of stationery.
Tell me the UK isn't corrupt to the fucking core...
If this doesn't alarm and anger you then you are politically switched off and unaware.
Scotland voted for Devolution. Westminster has no mandate to bypass the Devolution Settlement. This is a direct attack on Democracy. Everyone should be angry and alarmed. Fucking EVERYONE!
The SNP want the best deal for the people of Scotland.
The Tories, Labour and the Lib Dems want the best deal for their Billionaire mates that pay them to run the UK.
@BBCGaryR
@jackiebmsp
Gary, I sincerely hope the inquiry covers the role the media played in undermining the daily health messaging. And what that impact was on compliance, spread and deaths…
@ScotNational
This was a bill passed with cross party support, after YEARS of debate. Its no longer about whether you are for or against the GRR, this is about whether or not you believe in Scottish Democracy.
It appears ALBA do not...
While considering possible outcomes today in FM contest, I thought about all those tweeters on here whose support of Indy/SNP was conditional on "peripheral" issues, and realised there is nothing that would make me choose Tories/Brexit/UK over Independence.
Absolutely nothing.
@JournoStephen
@Dannythefink
"...a homeless refugee people to make a small state for themselves in their ancient homeland" sounds all very harmless and reasonable. But it fails to mention the people who already live there, and how Israel is ethnically cleansing them...
Worth revisiting this one. UK were chasing number of vaccinations to boast about speed of roll out. Scotland prioritised the vulnerable, had slower roll out, but saved more lives.
MSM never covered the nuance…

up. Tories. Brexit. And now it looks like Rochdale is going to elect George Galloway!
Why are we still shackled to this insane basket case? Why isn’t Indy polling at 80%?
@andydphilip
"You'll have the most powerful devolved government in the world" they said...
And then they wonder why we want to revisit the referendum where they promised us that.
@newsboy23
God almighty! Is this another of Boris Johnsons sprogs? She has the overall demeanour, the vacant look behind the eyes, the unaware smile of entitled superiority. (All general Tory traits to be fair).
Is there a superinjunction? Or have I just started another rumour?
Years ago I read somewhere that Britains tax system was the second most complex tax system in the world, second to India.
There's a reason for this. The ruling classes set the tax system so that they can exploit it to pay less taxes. Ordinary folk can't avoid PAYE or VAT...
The "fabrication" of news is now so embedded in the BBC Scotland psyche that they are incapable of critically assessing their own output.
Its relentless, exhausting - and deeply, deeply flawed.
By the time we get Indy we'll all have PTSD - for a generation...
@BBCsarahsmith
Every single person listening would have listened very carefully to Alex Salmonds answer, given the gravity of the question.
There's two explanations for what you said on TV. Gross incompetence. Or deliberate misrepresentation.
And both mark you as unfit for your position...
If a security guard gets 13 years for espionage and passing on info to the Russians, what's the punishment for a political party that takes Russian bungs and an ex PM who is utterly compromised by them?
Asking for a rogue state that is bordering banana republic...
RAAC concrete England. Tories will "spend whatever it takes" to fix the problem.
(But there is no new money from Barnett to increase Scottish Government budget).
RAAC concrete Scotland. SNP have no powers to find the extra money, so need to make cuts elsewhere to fix schools...
When the BBC talks about "think tanks" they want you to think of them as benign organisations acting in the public interest. This could not be further from the truth.
So arseholes like Gullis, Anderson and Shapps can have a go at Gary Lineker on twitter, but he has to be "civil" to them in his replies?
GTF BBC. You corrupt Tory appeasing bastards.
@MhairiHunter
No. Thats “sex”.
IMO this conversation should accept that sex and gender are different things. One is biological, the other is psychological. Maybe then the minefield can be cleared and a path forward found...
I note that tonight BBC news mentioned turnout in the two by election results today. They even quoted the tories saying it was a factor in both losses.
Funny how turnout wasn't mentioned after Rutherglen the other week eh...
@andalg1
@katiec1314
@Douglas4Moray
FACT. Scotland hasn't voted for Tories for 60 years.
FACT. Tories don't listen to Scotland, they only listen to their bosses in London.
FACT. Independence is now the settled will of the Scottish people.
“British” oil and gas. £16Billion. A year.
Hey Scotland, yes you, you fucking mugs. McCrone was the big clue. You’re not too poor, or too wee - but you are too stupid.
Backing British oil & gas will also support more than 200,000 jobs and adds £16 billion to the UK economy each year.
It will also help unlock green investment, driving forward investment in clean tech and helping us reach net zero.
Don’t blame the 50% of Scots who aspire towards self determination for your cowardice. Abstaining with the excuse of calling the SNP “divisive” is soundbite bullshit. And you know it. The SNP represent the people that voted for them. They are part of your democracy.
Today I made my position absolutely clear. I support a ceasefire in Gaza
I did not vote for a divisive amendment by the SNP but I will continue to represent the views of my constituents on this issue and to call for a

"Scotland" was born, more or less, when Kenneth McAlpin (a gael) united the kingdoms of the Picts and Dalriada.
I'm offended by the British state trying to kill off gaelic culture, and depriving me of my heritage. All 4 of my grandparents spoke a different language to me.
I wonder if any of the anti-gaelic roadsigns lobby have tried complaining to Ordnance Survey? Look at any map, gaelic is everywhere.
And if only 1.6% of us still speak it, maybe have a wee wonder what happened to all the people who named those rivers, lochs, hills and glens...
@GasGilligan
@irlembberlin
@bpol_b
I've been saying for years that UKIP were a Tory stalking horse, to create space further to the right for the Tories to move in to.
The air time the BBC gave Farage was far beyond what was appropriate for his actual political status. They are complicit in leading us to Brexit.
@mrjamesob
@Lamourna5
In a related issue, has he apologised to Scotland's First Minister yet?
Or is that insult off the radar now - or perhaps deemed acceptable?

I honestly thought, when they were introduced, student loans would be gov loans at 0% interest…
Forty years ago I got a free education, a student grant, and halls of residence were £15 a week - half board!
We really have fucked things up for the kids…
@mstewart_23
Whats concerning is the lack of hubris when they were liquidated, and the apparent intention of doing it all over again. Hell mend them. They've posted losses every single year since their reinstatement in the bottom tier.
@MarieAnnUK
...starting with a decade turning Farage into a talking head on Question Time, out of all proportion to his actual political status.
The BBC are complicit in Brexit. And now they are under the influence of Tory placemen...
@smclellanduk
And, as dispassionately as possible, as a Scot, how do you feel about Scotland never voting Tory in 60 years? Scotland voting Remain? And having Brexit/Johnson imposed on us in an unequal union by a larger partner we disagree with on every major political decision?
@lauz_wards
Nope.
I’m more concerned about trans fascists shutting down anything/anyone that dares voice a different opinion.
This whole self ID thing is utterly poisonous. There is no room for people to properly form an opinion through open discussion.
He wanted rid of Sturgeon, he got hsi way, and now he is trying to poison the current leadership contest with conspiracy bollocks.
He is driving a wedge through the Indy movement. The enemy is the Tories, not ourselves...
@Bodysatnav
@ron_mould
I remember a Gillian Keegan interview on the telly not too long ago, where it became impossible to tell the difference. It was as if Keegan was trying to satirise Rosie Holt...
The Tories are beyond parody now. The lines have been lost...
I'm voting for Indy. I don't care what your gender is, which toilet you use, or which side of any other SNP argument you are on.
If you're not tweeting about winning a pro indy majority in May then you're getting unfollowed.
I've had enough of this pish.
@BladeoftheS
We did this before several years ago when petrol/diesel prices shot up. The cost gets "normalised", the companies make huge profits, the customer gets utterly fleeced. This is part of a wider long term problem. The rich are asset stripping the world and telling us to keep calm...
Ffs, if only the BBC tried this fucking hard to find the truth behind the total gaslighting bullshit that comes from UK Tories every fucking time they open their gobs, maybe the UK wouldn’t be up shit creak without a dinghy…
Here's the smear BBC Scotland deemed worthy of two minutes on Reporting Scotland tonight. It's worth watching to see just how incredibly weak it is. There's nothing there. It begs the question. Who decided this was worthy of inclusion in the national evening news?
