Today was a sad day for the Abbey Community with the funeral of a former member of staff, Mr Eamonn Burns. Our sympathy to his wife, Sinead, Head of our Mathematics Dept, their two sons, Cathal and Thomas and the extended Burns and Mullan families. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
The Abbey Community is saddened to learn of the sudden death of our past pupil and friend, Brian Conlon. An Abbey man who changed the lives of so many in our community and gave opportunities to countless past pupils. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasail.

The heavy rain and gusty wind didn’t stop 57 first years taking part in after school football today with Mr Gallagher and Mr Savage. Each player had their own ball throughout. A great effort all round.

We were delighted to have Sean (Yr12) and his sister Lauren in to the Abbey today to accept a cheque for £7,600 for Lauren’s Adventure. Many thanks to staff, students and parents who contributed to such a worthy cause.
