Those who were displaced by yesterday’s @FARDC_off ’s attacks in Minembwe are slowing returning to their homes. My Grandpa has been found but he is much more frail. Urgent medical and psychological is needed. they are left to fend for themselves as per usual. And they will.

I last saw him in 2004 in Minembwe (Nyabibugu), he was so sad I was leaving his sight. I have such fond memories of him (his love of people and his cattles). He loved me dearly and so did I💜. I hope we find him safe tomorrow. Love you, Sokuru! Buracya bugacyan’ayandi. Stay safe.

This year, marks 30 years since the Genocide against the Tutsi which began on 7 April 1994 and lasted for 100 days, more than a million deaths. Today, we honor the memory of those we lost by preventing such horror from ever happening ever again.
