The most competitive leagues top to bottom. The difference between 2-5 is minuscule.
Used the leagues’ average and median CalPrep team ratings to account for extremely top or bottom heavy leagues.
San Gabriel Valley top 30 high school football rankings: Bishop Amat, La Serna continue to stand out; Monrovia, Damien drop from top 10, replaced by Bonita and San Dimas.

General playoff projections, ONLY factoring CalPreps ratings but will give a general idea of where your teams stands. The lower divisions will be affected most by teams with automatic berths currently not ranked high enough to be on the projections.
Used a 10-team D1 for this model but it can end being anywhere between 8-16 teams which will obviously affect every other division. Again this is ONLY using CalPrep ratings.
GENERAL projections for D6-14. Big caveat. Several teams likely to earn automatic berths currently have CP ratings lower than teams in these brackets. They’ll likely be placed around D12-14. So if you don’t see your team and you’re winning, that’s why

for always scheduling tough non-league games. The only Southern California school outside of the Trinity and Corona Centennial to schedule Mater Dei. They play Yorba Linda, Servite, and Mater Dei in consecutive weeks.
La Serna QB Jake Long talks about his team's amazing comeback victory over Tesoro 28-21. The Lancers erased a 21-point deficit and Owen Long scored the winning TD. Great game!

Amat at Damien, Charter Oak at West Covina, West Ranch at Saugus, Citrus Valley at Ayala, and Vista Murrieta at Rancho Cucamonga are some of the exciting games to watch this week.
Chaminade, West Ranch, Thousand Oaks remain unbeaten; Notre Dame makes a return; and Birmingham makes its debut.

For years athletes have left the Pasadena area for other schools. Watch out if
@PasadenaHSFB
and the other Pasadena public schools can keep that talent. Was sad when Blair high school was forced to switch to 8 man football years ago. Do you think the tide is changing?

Said this awhile ago. Pasadena is one of the most talent rich areas in SoCal but that talent has been spread out to many private schools from the SFV to OC for years. If talent stays home there’s no reason PHS and Muir can’t be some of the top public school programs in the area.
After this week, Damien will have had their fill of Lancers. Orange Lutheran Lancers two weeks ago, La Serna Lancers last week, and Bishop Amat Lancers this week.
D2 Semifinals: Sierra Canyon at Bishop Amat, Inglewood at Chaminade.
Mission league guaranteed a finalist, Inglewood makes the D2 semis in back-to-back years
Some of the top games to pay attention to this week:
Northview vs. Charter Oak at Covina District Field (Thurs)
Pasadena vs. Glendora at Citrus College
Bishop Amat at La Habra (available on

Damien at Loyola
La Mirada at Yorba Linda

The timing makes more sense in the doing. Why extend the season for players participating? This way it’s essentially in lieu of them playing in spring training. Unfortunate injury but the players have bought in and the games have been entertaining.

I understand your point but to be fair Damien/Amat are 2 of the more affordable private HS in SoCal, geared towards middle class families. Half as much as the Trinity schools so filthy rich may not be accurate.
@SGVNSports
Those Yorba Linda kids played tough against Amat in the playoffs. Had a shot in the fourth quarter. Ranked 10 in the OC, 1 spot above JSerra, 16 returning starters including QB Reyn Beal No. 16 in the Register’s Hot 150 ranking of OC players and LB Wyatt Mosier No. 27 on the list
The benefit of returning the majority of starters from a 10-1 team that made D2. Yorba Linda had one of the best teams in program history last year and they have the chance to be better this year.
