@hayes_mcdole @roesch_scott My wife’s great grandpa passed away this spring. He was 107. He talked about hauling cows to Kansas City in 1936 using a 1934 Chevy grain truck with stock rack sides. Hauled six head at a time from Alma KS to KC.

I was told we didn’t need that high of quality components. Life expectancy needed to be 5-7 years max because by then the tech would be outdated anyhow.

@lathemfarms Nothing on the front of the planter. No disc. No fert attachment. No cleaners. All those cause plugging and pinning. Make sure it’s low humidity and sunny. Down force must be perfect. To much excess on gauge wheels and it will ball reside. Too little and it hair pins.
