Neighbor has been downsizing his acres for a few years now. I can thank him for getting me started. Died a couple weeks ago just before he could run his new combine. Us and a few other neighbors pitching in to get his wheat out. RIP Stan, you were a great guy.

@clintwfischer A lot of families are in a very similar scenario, including mine. The main thing I takeaway is no matter if I inherit anything or not, it's not my decision, I am not owed anything. It is a privilege to continue on something, not a given right. If they want to sell it all, fine.

Airseeder motor blew seal because case drain line wasn't hooked up properly. Rebuild kit at dealer was $520 and only needed a $2 seal. Nobody had seal. Solution? Used lathe to turn a piece of aluminum with grooves to hold o-rings to make a seal. Used a valve spring washer to shim

This is completely outside the box, but bear with me. Has anybody tried drilling corn with a CCS type airseeder? I know it's not the right tool for the job, but curiosity is killing me. It wouldn't be singulated, but the rate should be very accurate meter to meter.

Anybody out there gone from a single disc airseeder back to a double disc box drill for simplicity sake? Regrets? Mild sandy loam soil here, never enough residue so getting it in the ground is not generally a concern.

20" boom height 12.5 mph in a rough (gopher hole riddled) field. To say I'm impressed with Apache's new back rack suspension/boom and raven xrt is a huge understatement.

My grandpa never fought in a war. He volunteered but got told to stay home because he was the last son on the farm. He passed away 14 years ago today, so Veterans Day is always a reminder. Miss him every day.

You dont have to be nuts to tear into truck wiring, but it helps. Thought I would dig into why this circuit breaker fire happened. Holy rats nest. Found a shorted out wire finally.

Custom planting rule #1 . Set A-B lines up to the road not the 1/4 sec line with the neighbor that farms 50k+ acres. Their meth head hired hands don't care as much as you about having perfectly square boundaries and splitting rows
