Here is the lost art of ‘ Kalie’ ( applying Nickle coat to brass & copper vessels). We found a craftsman in Deoband( a rarity)& got him to polish a whole lot of our utensils at Mussoorie. They got a super shine. These utensils are way better than steel & aluminium.

Totally agree with Prof Tripathi. Madarsas, much demonised, were institutions that educated all children. Dr Rajendra Prasad, our first President, studied in one. There is need to revert to this inclusivity, must modernise. The ‘Bridge Course’ at AMU works in that direction.

Being a boxer myself I loved his poetry ‘ Liston is mine I’ll knock him out in nine’. He had guts to throw his Olympic gold medal into the river after he experienced discrimination. Amul’s ad of 1976/77 ‘ Utter Ali- Butter Ali’ was their best ad ever.
