@NixieHime Yakuza's comedy exists to show a dualistic tonal dissonance between the serious stuff and the goofy shit. I don't mind the comedy but Xenoblade is at its best during the down-to-earth, heartful moments, take Mythra and Poppi's conversation at Morytha, rather than the goofy shit.
