We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved family member Piper. Today she peacefully crossed that rainbow to be with her brother Riley. Many thanks to Dr Maria and the staff at CBS Vet Clinic for respectful and loving assistance. We will miss her forever.

Grieving the passing of a family pet is real. Riley crossed over the rainbow on Sunday. This is going to take a long time to heal our family and his sister Piper’s pain. RIP little buddy. We miss you terribly and you are always in our hearts.

At midnight tonight I turn 70 years old. I am so grateful for all I am blessed with. Family and friends in particular. I work at a job I love with wonderful coworkers. My employer’s group insurance drops all benefit coverage at midnight. Medical, dental, vision and life. #Aging .

Today the Higher Power reclaimed a great guy to a better place. My brother Joe Keough of Corner Brook passed suddenly. A loving husband, magnificent father and Poppy to his family. His brothers and sister will miss him terribly. All who knew him, knew a great person.

Caught!! The Province privatized cataract surgery through clinics who billed patients directly for the surgery without telling them Cataract surgery was eligible for Medicare coverage from the Province. The Feds have forced the Province to reimburse 60 patients over $1100 each.

During Costco’s time on Stavanger Drive nearby gas stations reduced prices to stay competitive. Not one went out of business in doing so. Prices are now back up. Price fixing again. There’s a lot to be said for competition saving consumers money.

Newfoundland and Labrador didn’t decolonize from England as much as it became a colony of Canada. Both countries set up their favoured local merchant class and politicians in return for unrestricted pilferage of NL resources . Fish, minerals, paper, energy, wind power etc.
