some GP’s really need some training in how to approach someone who’s in front of them saying they’re depressed and can’t cope, because the “yeah we all get sad from time to time” is extremely dangerous
“all lives matter” but not when you’re a child needing food, an immigrant, have a low income, a single parent, on universal credit, disabled and ultimately not a privileged white rich male who went to private school. Welcome to the uk.
the UK is set to make unsolicited dick pictures part of the sexual offences act 2003 which means with enough evidence men who send these kind of images could now face jail time
it’s time to take back the power ladies
in my opinion minimum wage should be enough to cover all bills and expenses and having money left over to live comfortably to treat yourself here and there, people in this country should not be having to head to food banks after paying their bills
@sophkelly1
student nurses and front line workers should be given a decent wage to begin with, but blaming people on benefits, which include disabled people and single mothers pretty much sums up the person you are with this tweet.
Theyve dropped my sexual assault case due to not enough evidence despite CCTV of the offender following me and running away from the scene & him admitting to part of the assault. He went on to do this to someone else. Police said I should move on and stop looking over my shoulder
my bf informed me that he’s been trying to pick ‘scabs’ off our kittens belly for weeks but has been struggling because they’re ‘proper on there’…turns out it was his nipples. he’s been trying to pick our kittens nipples off. this man is a biomedical scientist.
i was desired more by men from ages 12-17 than i am now as a 24 year old woman, i thought it was maybe because i gained weight and became older…yes, that’s exactly what it is…i was no longer a child
*NEWCASTLE*
early hours of this morning (3am ish) my bf had to report a near kidnapping by two males, one white and one tanned both with brown hair getting into a sliver car trying to pick up young girls next to bijoux in newcastle...saying “we promise to get you home safe”
why does someone knocking on the door when i’m home alone send me into a complete spiral of anxiety as if its gonna be a burglar robbing me in broad day light
It’s okay to be sad that 2022 was heavy and to admit it was really hard to pull through a lot of the time or that it wasn’t at all what you expected it to be like. Here’s to 2023 and hoping it’s a lot kinder 🤍
some people are just really shitty for no reason at all and the sooner you learn that, the sooner you learn that your actions can’t change them no matter how hard you try
'Another 627 deaths' has became our new normal every time we turn on the news and every single one of them 627 people leave a grieving family who are now left heartbroken. I keep getting asked why I'm happy with lockdown still being in place. This is why.
finally got my ADHD diagnosis and just cried because i’ve literally thought my whole life i was lazy and it’s been 25 years of putting myself down when this whole time it hasn’t been my fault
I fully support all of my NHS colleagues who are wanting to strike for better wages we all deserve. Enough is enough. Those claiming it’s going to ‘harm patients’ need to understand it’s already harming patients because NHS staff are not paid enough to stay.
the problem is: men don’t believe us, they mock us, they joke about what we say and deny statistics but they’re also the same ones saying “why didn’t you come forward sooner”
okay but when are we going to talk about GP’s not taking heavy periods seriously enough…how is passing blood clots half the size of your palm, anaemia symptoms every month & going through 14 pads a day ‘normal’
being in your 20s and not knowing what you want to do with your life is so stressful because i worry that i’ll never find my passion & i’ll never be happy
it’s the fact Meghan Markle receives more scrutiny than andrew the accused pedophile for me, the royal family seem to have brushed that one under the rug
it takes a lot for someone to come forward about their mental health to begin with but to build up all that confidence, get to the GP and them downplay how you feel happens far too often & it causes people to feel like no one cares about them - not even their own doctor
the worst thing about hayfever isn’t even the swollen eyes, the tiredness or the sneezing but the ITCHING of your mouth/throat including your bloody ears pisses me off
For a woman to share such a heartbreaking experience when the world has given her nothing but unimaginable scrutiny just so other women feel less alone...how can anyone dislike her
#AreYouOK
We’re being lied to. There IS enough money to pay NHS workers what they deserve. Fund and rebuild our NHS while also still covering the cost of the amount of patients we are seeing. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. The tories are putting it in their pockets instead.
@hxrrop
i’ll never forget them two weeks before lockdown when the government did NOTHING to prepare and just put their feet up waiting for it to all hit the fan, nothing was put in place
when i was on uc, after my rent and council tax i had £67 for the rest of the month for food and other bills, that extra £20 per week literally meant i could feed myself without asking my family to help or getting myself into debt, taking that away from families is inhuman
btw it isn’t the vaccine that makes you feel crap afterwards, it’s your immune system reacting to unknown mrna entering your body, you’re okay, hydrate well and rest for 24-48 hours
okay so we’ve rang e.on and they’ve told us it was just an estimate of how much we could have paid with their highest fixed tariff so we’ve agreed to £143…still…£50 to £143 for gas only 🥲
I now get it. I now understand. I now understand why women don’t come forward and when they do they’re left dealing with trauma. I now understand why they come forward years later when more women have the same story. I get it and I wish I didn’t.
been fully vaccinated since February and still chose the wear a mask out of respect for others but also bc I could still catch covid and pass it on? does no one have common sense?
Talking about a miscarriage or a still birth is so taboo but it’s so much more common than people think.
Raising awareness is the only way we’ll break it & some of the comments Chrissy is getting for sharing this time are uncalled for. You do not get to decide how others grieve.
my mam worked 4 jobs when i was younger and still couldn’t afford food for herself after feeding us sometimes, hard work doesn’t always pay off. the mentality of hard work = more money and better positions isn’t how the world works
Police reasoning for saying that was because “statistically it won’t happen again”. This was not the first time I’ve been sexually assaulted and probably won’t be the last. Not one woman I know hasn’t had some form of sexual violence.
i’m sick of white men not being called terrorists when they kill multiple people, i’m sick of women being asked what they were wearing during a sexual assault, i’m sick of black women being called aggressive when they’re passionate and i’m sick of people not understanding this
If no one knows, Trayvon Martin was a 17 year old black boy who was fatally shot, he was unarmed. His murderer walked free after claiming self defence. it’s controversial cos chief of police at the time was accused of protecting police who had wrongly killed innocent POC.
considering heavy periods is a symptom of one of the biggest killers of women (cervical cancer) this isn’t the ‘drop the mic’ take you think it is zayne 😵💫 ick
@youmemmatsix
There are people literally waiting on cancer treatment amongst other things in the failing NHS, GPs neglecting their duties left right and centre and fueling a mental health epidemic.
Nobody, absolutely nobody, has the time or care to talk about your "heavy periods" 🥱
if you still don’t understand how short staffed the NHS is at the moment let this sink in…as my second job i help out wards who are low staffed, normally i have between 10-15 shifts to choose from, the other day there was 60…
@TinkerbeIIIs
@thatgirljo_
this is absolutely 100% untrue. most smokers from my experience do not give a shit where they smoke, they’ll smoke in front of hospitals, in front of shops, in front of food places...very few give a crap and move away when i start coughing
