@LFriszt @realsteelmuslim Some Taiwanese were surprised that some SE Asian Chinese speak Hokkien because "Wow I didn't know they speak Taiwanese there". They also legitimately think Xiao Long Bao, among other Chinese dishes, originated from Taiwan. It's crazy.

@astro1095 @lin_linvy Malaysia was a British colony and didn't gain "independence", it was given to them by the Brits who made them a commonwealth country. Soekarno saw it as continuous colonialism, that Malaysia was still a puppet to the Brits (not wrong), which posed great danger to Indonesia
