if you manage to replace the word "good" with "conventional" and the word "bad" with "experimental", you'll have a much easier time coming up with games that people actually want to play
Game design is alloying; too much "good" design and the resuly is over crystalized, brittle and transparent, you have to alloy in a little weak and opaque bad to get the flexibility, resiliance and a pearlescent luster.
how to ruin your video game announcement:
write the wrong year into the trailer and the tweet and don't notice
THE GAME IS COMING OUT IN 2023!
2023!
fuck!

i've been struck by sickness & post launch depression, but I just wanted to quickly pop back up to express my gratitude for the Mosa Lina love!
this has been (by far) the most successful launch ever for me <3
update is in the works :))
mockup for a feature i desperatly want
@discord
to have!
I call it Discord Rooms and you can just hang out with friends in a little digital appartement and talk to each other per proximity voice chat.
pls
I'd been playing around with physics for ages before even starting to think about Mosa Lina!
The game is only possible because it builds on years of experiments and tests like this pinball one!
Big announcement!
Mosa Lina (our hostile interpretation of the immersive sim) releases in two weeks on October 17th!
If you can't wait, there's a free Demo on Steam OUT NOW!
if the NPC actually could talk with you about anything, maybe then you'd finally realise that you play games bc they're limited and contained and not at all like real life.
For the last 5-7 years, i have only eaten, smoked and made games, while basically not moving at all.
i had a minor stroke this friday.
This means that I now have to drastically change my life, which requires me to delay PRODUCER (2021) to 2022.
we're almost at 150 positive reviews, in just three days!!!
thanks so much to everyone who's been playing, making videos and hanging out in the discord <3
very excited to announce that
@rlnbrl
has achieved the impossible:
Mosa Lina has a Level Editor!
- build your own levels
- upload them to steam workshop
- add everyone's creations into the base game!
The Beta version is out now!
it's the weekend, so I'm not really at the computer, but we just hit 200 reviews on Mosa Lina in only 4 days!
this seems to be the first game since Handulum+ that really connects with *wide* audience & i'm very happy about that :))
thank you all so much <3
am 100% convinced that main problem is the mental energy it takes to engage with anything new or potentially non-soothing. Biggest small-indie success of the last years have been glorfied sleeping pills.
"i want shorter games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less and i'm not kidding" is funnily tragic to me because there's heaps of amazing short games with worse graphics, though they don't get paid more to work less, they just keep making those games
very happy to announce:
