The Washingtonville Central School District (WCSD) Board of Education has appointed local educator Dr. Larry Washington as the District’s new Superintendent of Schools. More details:
Washingtonville Central School District will be canceling all classes for the next three weeks. School will be closed to students from March 16th - April 13th. Please see the District COVID-19 website for more details.

. The team competed at the state competition in Binghamton on 3/23 and took second place in the structure toss, division 3. They will now represent Washingtonville at the World Finals competition in Michigan!
Washingtonville’s Technology Department is hard at work this summer preparing for the 2019-2020 school year! The team, along with summer student workers, are currently unpacking and prepping approximately 1,900 student new Chromebooks for our three elementary schools!
On Sunday, June 28, the Washingtonville High School Class of 2020 participated in a town-wide Graduation Car Parade! Congratulations to all of our graduates. We are so proud of you!

Friday was an exciting night at the WHS pool! Kudos to Andrew Smolar, Jackson Vinarub, Brayden Dwyer, Ryan Lerner, Adam Kellman, and Mason Rowlands for their feats of the night, which ranged from becoming OCIAA champions to qualifying for States to breaking school records!

The WHS Bistro is back in business! On October 25, the Aspire class was busy making items such as cinnamon buns and egg sandwiches. With the assistance of teachers and student volunteers, the students prepare, cook, serve, collect money, welcome guests, and clean!
WHS seniors Connor McCann & Marco Radi finished 3rd in the second round of the National Automotive Technology Tournament. These Orange-Ulster BOCES Automotive students attended the National competition after advancing in both the local and regional sectors. Congratulations, boys!
Congratulations to WHS students Elissa Miller, Katherine Kline, Olivia Brown, and Kate Kennedy for qualifying for the NYS Swim Championships in the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relays. In addition, Katherine Kline qualified in an individual event–200 freestyle.

It was full steam ahead at WCSD on as we hosted our inaugural STEAM Fair. Approximately 200 people attended the event, which showcased projects completed throughout the year by K-12 students, in addition to hands-on learning stations, STEAM inspired arts and crafts, and more.
