From working for a Bronze on Friday to working with the @scu1829 yesterday. Up there with two of the best shifts I've worked recently. Our colleagues looked gleaming while lining the route and you could see the effort they'd put into their appearance. It. Was. Entirely. Gleaming.

An MPS Sergeant saluting the Regimental Colours of the Irish Guards during the Guard Change. An officer saluting the colours is a huge mark of respect towards them, as the colours represent major battle honours won by that regiment. Brilliant, skipper.

Six months after I leave the MPS, a letter is delivered to a police station that I haven't worked at since 2019. A colleague has permission to open it on my behalf and here we have a compensation cheque for £2.50. That's a compensation cheque sent out for an assault I suffered.

Collected a piece of paper yesterday, and while doing so I met Malik. Basically, two weeks into his foundation training he climbed scaffolding to save someone from a burning building. Student officers these days eh? The sheer audacity. He hadnt even completed the NCALT. Lad😎

In Afghanistan, both our Engineer Officer and our Artillery officer were women. They were robust and brilliant. My closest mate in the job is female, 5ft 3" and a born leader. Also robust and brilliant. I dont need to say anymore 😎

Strong point @Brick_Cop . The MPS have recently launched a unit called the Sovereigns Colour Unit. We've had 170+/- applications from around the MPS and a selection day is pencilled in. Outside of this we've paraded officers at the MPS Memorial Day and at #NPMD22 this weekend :-)

Students returned to Hendon over the last couple of weeks for their second round of Progression Training. They are assessed and scrutinised on warrant applications and finish the course off with an exam. Every one of them passed both parts. Gleaming 👌🏻

Thought: The Volunteer Police Cadets are the unsung heroes of the policing world. From the full time staff running each unit, to the volunteers, through to the teenage Cadets themselves. The amount of positive influence is immeasurable. If I had more time I'd definitely jump in!

@rabbiesghost We're in a uniformed organisation. Discipline, standards, attention to detail. All things that we can use day to day. Many of these basics lack in training and beyond. The above won't solve all the problems, but it's a stepping stone and compliments the rest. Have a good day bud.

Even if I wanted to join my graduation for the degree I’ve earned through the PCDA route, I’d need to travel nearly five hours up the country, pay for my own travel and hotel and then pay £300 for the private hire of a gown because you can’t graduate without one 😂😂😂
