, i reviewed the devastating documentary DAUGHTERS. if this doesn’t push you toward full-throated support for prison abolition, i don’t know what will.
DAUGHTERS is devastating. Though beautifully shot, with a spacious and honest attentiveness to its subjects, DAUGHTERS does not need to do much cinematic heavy lifting to make its story appear as the objectively, systemically orchestrated tragedy that it is.
