Really hate health insurance in the US. My vision got worse and getting new contacts and glasses is gonna cost me $1500 minimum and insurance covers…$200. Glasses and lenses should be free because *they’re medical devices* and without them I can’t safely do anything.

Wrote this b/c calorie tracking is not the end all be all of weight loss. I developed a severe eating disorder and never lost more than 10lbs, even though I logged religiously for 5 yrs. Diet culture is bad & these apps should do more to educate why calories are a flawed metric.

Got this tattoo today in memory of my Mom. It’s the spiritual sequel to the one on my right arm when my Dad died. Normally I opt for linework, black-only tattoos but blue cornflower is something family of ALS patients get in solidarity/memory. So had to do it.

Now that I’ve rehydrated and showered, I ran the NYC Half Marathon today to raise money for ALS in memory of my mom. She died in Nov, 3 months after her diagnosis. Here’s me and my aunt, who helped me take care of her during the worst of her disease, at the 10 mile mark.

Our management company reached out with lease renewal options. I shit you not, depending on the length of our renewed lease, my rent could go up by as "little" as $517 or AS MUCH AS $6,537!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously not picking THAT option but NYC rental market has lost its mind.
