I’ll add the caveat that clients totally don’t have to feel pressured to do this if they want me to go nuts with artistic interpretation (which I also love). If you’ve got a very clear-cut vision of what you want in an illustration though, don’t be afraid to make a small doodle!!

With regards to their pay being awful btw: RB pays us around 15% of a sale, while Inprnt is 50%—over 3x more. I’m pretty sure I made more in the first two months on Inprnt than I have in the entirety of my time on RB (almost 3.5 years).
