1/ I have met more interesting people in my home in the last three days then all of last year in the Bay Area - Turns out that my wife and daughters are pretty interesting people. Honestly folks this is childish. If you don't like the Bay Area great, go to someplace you like.

Just finished reading @MenloVentures ’ new “State of Generative AI in the Enterprise” report. The most shocking part? Enterprise spend on Gen AI is shockingly small! Given how much hype there is, I thought the numbers would be bigger.

Honest question but why is there so much pork in a covid bill? Can we make a new law that we should have the name of the lobbyist or the congressman who proposed the pork. One way to bring accountability is to have people own up when they propose pork

Based on their after hours market cap, Snapchat is now worth about $50B. For a company that Facebook was supposed to have crushed, they seem to be doing ok. Markets are often far bigger than we realize initially.

We have had a dramatic change in the cost of capital in the last few weeks driven both by geopolitical events and the rise of inflation. The tide is going out and we are going to find who in the startup world is wearing shorts or swimming naked. This is how capitalism works!
